We arrived with a handicapped individual in our party and despite confirming multiple times ahead of our our of state stay, we did not receive a room with a detachable shower head to accommodate our party member's needs as well as more than one bed for 4 people in the same room. They gave us a choice, a handicapped shower like we discussed on the phone or more than one bed for 4 adults with no options to accommodate or meet us in the middle. It felt like we got swindled immediately, with a shower bait and switch. The front desk person we spoke to confirmed that she remembered we called ahead asking if our room had that specific feature and somehow thought we were asking if the hotel in general had the handicap shower (while telling on herself that she knew our room didn't have one. Why would we care what kind of shower ISN'T in our room??) We asked so we knew we would have the accommodations necessary for our handicapped party member to be able to maintain their hygiene and we got left in the lurch.
Once we got settled in the room with enough beds for us, we noticed there was damage to our service dog's crate so we asked the front desk if we could borrow a pair of pliers to fix it, so nobody would be injured and they said they'd send up a maintenance person and NOT A SINGLE PERSON CAME OR FOLLOWED UP.
The continental breakfast is not included, however you get a limited number of vouchers if you are on the rewards program, and is over $20 per person for your average (at other hotels included!!) continental breakfast and they make you pay extra if you want anything warm like eggs, bacon, French toast, ect. But the kicker is the wait staff in the breakfast area was unreasonably slow for how many staff members were on shift. The manager in the white shirt there was very personable and nice, however I had to repeatedly send my bill back for being overcharged multiple times. Normally I let things like this slide off my back, however I was on a business trip and the time I lost waiting for my check issues to be resolved made me miss my seminar that I had to prepay for and is non refundable, so I guess I should have just over paid for breakfast!!!??? 😮💨
Overall, the hotel has a mold problem. The tunnel from the parking lot to the main lobby is the worst and leaks profusely in the rain. And of course it was raining when we stayed, so we got to witness the ceiling tiles falling off the ceiling into the Lowe's bucket they threw out to attempt to catch some of the water. A pretty sad attempt, considering the carpet was so saturated down there it squelched as we walked on it. They even seem to have permanently mounted air purifiers at either end, but the reek of mold just hits you in the face like a slap as soon as you walk down the stairs or open the door.
The mold continues to be a problem throughout the hotel, in the rooms, and throughout the gym. They offered to show up the handicapped room with 1 king bed to see if we'd rather stay in that room instead of the room with two queens for 4 people, and as soon as they opened the door it smelled so bad of mold and mildew!
The housekeeping didn't come in the room further than the bathroom and they didn't replenish towels for 4 people, nor did they replenish the toilet paper and we ran out of soap before the last day. They only seemed to clean one day while we were there and none of the days the beds were made and twice we had to leave the trashcan out of the room in order for it to be disposed of.
On my last night there my allergies were bothering me and any time the ac kicked on it blew a bunch of moldy air again and eventually I had to take a break. I sat in a chair in the hallway, and while I was looking around a saw a dead roach right next to me 😣
I learned a valuable lesson here: if you have a business convention at the Georgia International Convention Center do NOT stay here, book far enough ahead and stay at the Tru or something close This location is less than 10 minutes away from the convention but the hotel will not send a shuttle to take their...

From the moment I arrived at the Westin Atlanta Airport, I knew this wasn’t going to be the elevated experience you’d expect from a brand like Westin. What immediately caught me off guard? The parking. Imagine paying premium rates for your room only to find out guest parking isn’t included. No warning, no courtesy notice — just a surprise text with a link to set up a parking account and a hidden daily charge nearing $30 per day. I wasn’t given a single instruction about how it worked, and there was zero signage or assistance. You’d think for that price the lot would be well-kept — but it was littered with trash and leaves that never moved the entire time I was there. The underground tunnel reeked of mildew masked by overworked scent diffusers. It felt more like walking through a neglected basement than the entryway of a 4-star hotel.
Inside, the room was just… fine. Bed made? Sure. But my trash can was left full — the same trash sat there from check-in to check-out. Housekeeping clearly operates on surface-level standards.
No one told me about the hotel amenities — no welcome, no rundown, no signage. I had to stumble upon the bar and restaurant on my own, only to regret it immediately. The bartender couldn’t get a single drink right. After returning three different cocktails, I gave up and asked for a Jack and Coke — because apparently asking for a refund is too much of a process.
Breakfast? A disaster. Pancakes that were raw in the middle, no server in sight, and a 20+ minute wait just to pay for food I couldn’t eat. The only one who eventually showed up was busy chatting with a friend and then vanished again.
Thinking maybe I could salvage the morning with a simple iced mocha — mistake. What I got instead was a thick, sludgy mess of melted dark chocolate syrup and confusion in a cup. It wasn’t iced coffee. It was basically a Hershey bar in liquid form. Straight to the trash.
By the end of my stay, I’d spent over $100 on parking, eaten maybe two bites of food, and left with a headache from the overwhelming scent trying to mask whatever’s going on in the carpets.
The only thing this hotel got right was its location — it’s close to the airport. But proximity doesn’t equal quality.
This was my first — and definitely my last — time staying at the Westin Atlanta Airport. I expected comfort, convenience, and care. What I got was a poorly managed property with hidden fees, bad food, untrained staff, and a room that barely passed for clean.
Travelers, take my word for it — there are far better options near the airport. Don’t let the brand...
Read moreIt started off good, the rooms and lobby aesthetic is nice but its starting to wear off on me. I would only recommend staying here for 5 days or less.
The Room: the first shower was amazing but after being here for 10 days the sporadic temperature and the god awful noise that constantly comes from it keeps giving me a migraine. 2 of the light bulbs burnt out in the bathroom 3 days ago and still haven't been replaced, and one day I came back to missing my toilet paper roll holder and no towels on another day. There is only one microwave in the lobby and no drawer space. If you dont have a netflix to pair to the tv there are about 20 channels to choose from (not HD). I have been breaking out a bit more than normal so I'm wondering if the pillow cases aren't getting changed frequently. I also haven't been able to get a good nights rest since I've been here though the room has generally been pretty quiet (minus the shower that I can hear with the door closed).
The Hotel: no free breakfast, no laundry. The gym is about 6.5/10, half of the weight machines are broken in some way, dont plan on getting a good leg day in, there are a lot of free weights/non-machine workout options though, there is also a variety of punching bags which you normally dont see at a hotel so that was a bonus to see but I didn't bring gloves so it's not too useful. Pool area is pretty nice, they have an indoor/outdoor pool, no hot tub though. Restaurant food is overpriced for what you get and the service was poor, waited 30min for a check, had to get up to ask for it and again ask for them to check us out when there was only 3 tables including us. Bar was overpriced but service was pretty average.
You're also stuck in the middle of nowhere so unless you have a car or Lyft every where, there is not really anywhere in walking distance. Also my coworker got screwed with credit card holds in excess of $4,000 over the price of his stay, thankfully they cleared it up but to have $8k in holds on your credit card for a week can be a bit stressful depending on your limit.
I would not come back here for solely nice aesthetics. The staff has been helpful and friendly minus the 2 waiters on my...
