I am finally getting the chance to review this disgrace of a hotel on Google regarding my most recent trip. To preface this, I have stayed in this hotel before and the experience was more than lackluster and quite frankly a little bizarre. When my boss booked our most recent trip this was the only hotel within reasonable distance to our conference, so we decided to roll with the punches.
We arrived after 10:00pm on Wednesday 1/11/17 only to find out that our reservations for 3 rooms had been "lost." Reservations, mind you, that had been double checked would be there upon our arrival - why would anyone expect anything less after reserving rooms on their credit card?
The front desk acted as if this was not an unusual experience, which is ironic because while at our conference we found out that not one not two but AT LEAST three other offices had the very same experience with this hotel the same day. What did they expect to happen when all of these offices showed up only to find out they had no bed to sleep in? One office was lucky enough to share a single room with all of their team members, but that was obviously not the case for our team. The hotel offered to send us to a hotel that was in fact an hour away (in the wrong direction of where we needed to be for the next 3 days) and called us a cab. When the cab arrived, he did not have the room for our team and luggage. Without saying a word to us the driver walked away and before we knew it a 2nd shady driver arrived and tried to take our luggage to put in 2 separate vehicles without saying so much as a hello to us. Needless to say, we did not get into those cabs. We wound up calling our own Uber, finding a different hotel (also an hour away) so not to deal with the same issues when we finally arrived after midnight (only to be expected at our conference - remember an hour away now - BY 8:00am). We were really regretting the work day we had beginning at 6:30am on that Wednesday (also travel day).
I wished that I had complained as thoroughly the previous time we stayed at this hotel. The service as disgraceful, the "King Suite" was so large and oddly thrown together in a way that I would confidently say was far from "clean." The carpet was enough to send goosebumps down your spine. The best surprise I had was that next morning when I went to take a shower - the shower door didn't close, which didn't matter much because the shower head actually faced toward the door (meaning it completely flooded the bathroom). Should I even mention that one of the 2 sinks was directly located above the toilet and the other as behind the door. So brushing my teeth was truly a joy.
I cannot express to my readers enough how important it is to stay anywhere but here. If I had to deal with these experiences, that's one thing, but the fact that my amazing team went through such hell on what was supposed to be the beginning of a very exciting trip is just saddening to me. Customer service is key to every business and despite what you may read, believe me when I say that this hotel's customer service is the exact example of what you would not want your...
Read moreMy family are huge Fairfield Inn and Marriott hotel fans!! We always look forward to our stay at this hotel chain wherever we travel. This time around we had arrived around 3am, after a long exhausting 7 hour drive. We had booked a room that was advertised as fit for four adults. Turns out, the room we had booked had two very tiny double beds. We went to the one hotel staff at the front desk to ask and see if we could get a better room for everyone to fit in. Instead of being helpful and kind, which is our usual experience with hotel staff, this male staff member gave us the most horrible attitude I have ever encountered. When we had let him know of our dilemma and apologized for the inconvenience- but instead of being helpful as expected - he said “SO? What do you want ME to do about it?” The response was so shocking and it was extremely clear to us that this staff member was used to being rude and disrespectful to hotel guests. We tried to ask for better room options and each time he gave out curt responses clearly expressing his irritation saying things like “well that’s what you booked. I don’t know what you want me to do about it” and then after making things awfully uncomfortable for us for about 20 mins- he finally found “a king room with a pullout bed” that we clarified with him several times (despite his obvious annoyance with us) that it indeed had a sofa bed. We’re typically quiet people and don’t like to bother others so it was starting to make us extremely anxious and uncomfortable when he was speaking down at us. After reaching the new room, we see only one king bed and NO sofa or “sofa bed” anywhere. At this point, it is past 4am and we have been going back and forth with this staff member and were extremely tired and stressed from Our trip, and his behavior made it difficult for us to go back and ask for his help a second time- during which he was yet again RUDE. We ended up compromising with the original room we had booked and braced for a very uncomfortable night stay. This is an extremely horrible experience for hotel guests to endure!!! We should be able to rely on staff for assistance and support with our needs as guests. My family and I have always had a huge love and admiration for hotel staff, and do our best to be as little of a nuisance to these hard working individuals. So to be treated this way was appalling!!! Whoever it is that works the graveyard shift at this hotel front desk on Tuesdays- needs to be let go of ASAP. We don’t know who this man is, not even sure if he’s a new employee (perhaps possible considering he has zero customer service skills), but he is certainly not meant to interact with hotel guests! ABSOLUTELY will never come to this...
Read moreGood day! My experience at the Fairfield Inn for the 3 week stay has been very pleasant and comforting.
Upon arrival, I had been greeted by Mr. Rod King (exceptional individual), who always performed his duties as a gentleman and concerned personnel. He requested I provide him with any concerns or requests in order to assure my stay would be a great one, and it sure has! He and two fellow ladies, Cece and Kay, provided me with nice places to visit in regards to food, entertainment as well as sight seeing locations (the information and one-on-one engagement they provide is dependent on their availability due to high client volume but, they always did their best and it had been noticeable). The team mentioned is usually available throught the morning and evening schedule (somewhere around 9 am and 5-6 pm [my time frames may not be accurate but, their hospitality is).
Early mornings, when I travel down for a cup of joe as well as some breakfast items, Kenyatta (exceptional individual), Serena & Rhonda accompanied my morning conversations, asked if I had been enjoying the stay, requested if I had any concerns to share (more on that simple thing later) and tended to my early morning start! I greatly enjoyed greeting and conversating with the morning staff, whenever time allowed [as others staying at the hotel would also have their share of questions, concerns and pleasant conversations]. All smiles here 🙌🏼!
My only concern with the stay had been the absence of a "Shower Seperator" to prevent such a large spillage of water whenever I would shower, onto the bathroom floor. The image I placed with this posting displays my solution towards the water drainage. It can be a slip hazard as well as, continuous activity of the water settling on the bathroom floor will, in time, damage the tiles and create an uneven surface (learning from my past experience at different hotels). A longer shower curtain may also suffice with trapping the water as the current shorter curtains would attach to my body if I placed them within the tub area as I would shower. The cost to make these improvements on a large scale may improve or deficit the business so, I leave my concern here and they may do as they choose based on the business findings.
In conclusion, I genuinely had little to no issues with my stay and am very glad to have chosen this Fairfield Inn for my business stay these past 3 weeks. I would definitely encourage my loved ones to stay at this facility. Thank you all for all...
