I traveled this past weekend to for a local youth sports competition. This hotel was part of the "stay to play" requirements with the local sports organization. I will preface this review with I travel multiple weekends a year with my child's sports teams and I understand that there is a different level of "attitude" for many hotel venues when hoards of players stay at their hotel. However, we as parents are still paying a bill (and in many times more than the normal published rate) and still have the expectation for basic level of service. I will say that the was THE WORST experience i have ever had at a hotel. When we arrived in our room we discovered there were large red stains all over the frayed carpet, a loud banging noise from the heat and that one of the beds was broken. I attempted to call the front desk and discovered out phone was no longer working. Upon going back downstairs for help, we were informed that "this happens all the time" and someone would come and fix it. Two individuals knocked our door with no hotel identification what so ever. They were not dressed in uniform, had no name tag or anything. There was no way for us to know if these people actually worked at the hotel. They lack professionalism in so many areas but once we confirmed they were on staff they entered the room to fix the bed. The staff members proceed to pick up and drop the bed on the frame multiple times and claimed it to be "fixed." For the moment, the one side no longer collapsed and they were on their way. A few hours later we returned to take cold showers as the hot water no longer worked and then tried to go to bed. We were then going to bed and discovered he bed broke again and it was at that point we discovered the frame was actually cracked. I took a variety of picture for reference. It was now late, we were completely unpacked and had overtired since we have been traveling since 2am. There were no maintenance staff on site but I in theory that didn't matter as we needed a new room regardless. After packing up all our belongings and shuffling two kids down the hall we were finally able to go to sleep. The next morning when I attempted to take a shower it was discovered that the bathroom did not have a shower curtain at all. Nothing was hanging on the shower rod. The following day I had put in a request to have the room made up since we were completely out of toilet paper and did not enough towels. We returned back to find only one bed made, no new toilet paper and the towels not put in the bathroom. It was obvious that no freshening up of the room at taken place. When asked why only one bed was made I was informed it was because we "left an object on the bed." Apparently my daughters stuffed animal prohibited them from making the bed. In ALL OF MY YEARS of traveling I have NEVER heard this to be the case, nor was it ever communicated by anyone or in anything that a stuff animal, or anything for that matter, would prevent a room from being cleaned.
In addition to all of my issues with the customer service, there was a HUGE concern regarding safety. One night we left a key in our room. When I approached the front desk all I had to do was provide my room number. They never confirmed who I was or if I was even associated with the room number. It was not a staff member that I had met before so there was no way they could recognize me by site. Honestly I might not have thought anything of it except that night there was an issue that involved the police and a women accessing a room that she did not have reserved. The police were called and arrested the women at 1:30am. Somehow she had acquired access to a room that she did not have the right to be in and barricaded herself in the space. The fact that they will hand a key out without confirming who a person was really made me question the safety at the hotel.
I had approached the front desk a number of times looking to speak with a manager regarding my stay and was never put in contact with anyone. I left my contact information and never received a phone call, message or anything. When I checked out I once again voiced my displeasure regarding my stay. After spending several hundred dollars, I was credited back $30 (the equivalent of 2 days of parking fee.). While I am thankful for the $30 why not just credit back the entire three days worth of the fee at a minimum ($45 total?). Or at least the acknowledgement from management to hear out my complaints and concern? In all honesty the entire $30 refund is comical at this point.
I will be reaching out to the "stay to play" organization to strongly consider removing this hotel from their list. Not only was the service the worst i have ever seen, I also do not think it is appropriate for children from a safety perspective. I strongly suggestion you do. not use this hotel. I have stayed at plenty of IHG properties and had nothing but wonderful experiences. I can assure you we will NEVER return to this location.
To try and end on a positive note, the breakfast was actually very good and the staff who worked breakfast was...
Read moreOK I only chose this hotel because I arrived in Atlanta way earlier than I was supposed to, and this was the only hotel that I found that I can check in early. Upon arrival, I asked the person how much was their rooms he gave me the rate so I went and got the room from a third-party which that was fine. So I paid for the the security fee that you had to pay so after he took my money for the security fee then that’s when he told me that it was $15 to park on there a lot so I was like well why you didn’t say that at the beginning because you didn’t ask that all you asked was how much was the room so I was like OK I let that slide. Well we decided to stay an extra day so I booked for another day then they come telling me that I had to pay another security deposit and I’m like why I’ve already paid one you know and then they talk about it was hotel policy. I was like well you didn’t say that upon arrival you didn’t even say that about the $15 parking fee. It’s like his lack of communication so they went on and they accepted my reservation for that day and I went out and everything and come back. Can’t get in my room then they come talk them out I had to pay the security deposit not paying another security prodigy. I haven’t even got the first one back why pay another to buddy anyway to make a long story short I asked for a manager manager manager was very rude you know, and stuff like that and I ended up getting kicked out out of the hotel and you know and I’m telling the lady well I can’t pay you because my stuff is in the room and she wouldn’t let me get in the room and everything and then she was like well I was gonna waive the fee or something something but I changed my mind and then call for security and then you know and then come find out this is a privately owned hotel so it’s really nothing that I could do about it. I can’t CALL. I can’t complain the corporate that’s what she got mad about because I said I was gonna call and complain the corporate then she wanna talk about. I never mind you can leave so you stay here at your job risk or whatever but this is a privately own hotel and they can treat you and do whatever they like to do to you they can kick you out and all of that and there’s nothing down there. There’s nothing you can do about it and then on top of that why you gotta pay to park on their lot it’s not like your parking on somebody else’s slide or something like that but and you’re not parking in the parking garage never had to pay at a Holiday Inn for parking on a lot even even OK even if that’s fine at least let me know ahead of time and then let me make my chores. Not you make my choice for me, but I was told by you know unemployed there you know that that’s what they do. They treat people any type of way because they know that they are probably on hotel and it’s nothing you can do about it. They mind you. I have been staying there for like three days and they never change up the choice of breakfast the lady said she was gonna cook bacon she never cooked the bacon and I’ve worked at Holiday Inn before and I do know that they switch up your breakfast. You don’t keep constantly getting the...

Terrible Experience & got scammed by Zee at front desk. Our flight was delayed causing us to miss our connecting flight This was a Delta compensated stay for a night that came with TWO meal vouchers for $12 each. The convenience store/gas station food fare here is an example of price gouging. I picked up food items and a bottled water. Zee said the crap came to $32 dollars. I was livid. So.inasked him to itemize the food and he told me a 33 oz of Smart Water was $10, though its proce and the $10 prepackaged Cesar salad were not displayed ANYWHERE. I decided I would stay under $12 in order to save a voucher for this morning. I was only able to get a salad with no beverage. Zee specifically stated hw would use the second boucher instead of the voucher that appeared on my app. Which I felt was odd. About 15 minutes later after entering a hot & humid room that has an plug in fan I SWEAR (see picture). I got downstairs to buy beverages after all forgoing any possible compensation for breakfast. I pick up a couple of sodas that were cheaper that the $10 water and was told by a different checkin person that my 1st voucher had already been used. That's when THE SCAM became clear to me Zee chose the second voucher because he was either able to use it to drain both vouchers or because it allowed him to see both numbers and take the money from both during that one transaction. WHAT A CREEP! I get that Delta is being directly billed for this place So these crooks are price gouging passengers in a predicament such as this assuming we'd all be naive enough to go with it. I'm going to DELTA CORPORATE. As a former Delta Airlines employee I feel this egregious and opportunistic display of thievery to be criminal. The fan amused me initially. I was going to forgive it since it was midnight and I'd only be sleeping here to catch my flight today, BUT Zee's (or so recalled himself) behavior was so dismissive and arrogant, he compelled me to write this review with photos. I ended contacting Uber Eats as I refuse to give this place any of my money. That $12 theft will cost them.
The usuary that is happening to airline passengers should be investigated. This is unacceptable. I was also told I cannot obtain a receipt.fot this stay to confirm charges being billed.
Other note, tub doesnt not have a stopper to use for baths. Shower only. This place is a qualified DUMP. It's location makes it feel like the Bates Motel as we could see not places around it last night. Hence the call...
