EDIT: Trust broken.
I had written a previous review that I loved this hotel. And I did. It was my favorite hotel in Colorado Springs, but my experience today makes it clear that I can't stay here again.
Room service knocked politely at 9:30 to ask if they could clean the room. Which is, in my mind, wildly inappropriate. It was a one night stay. Wait until I'm gone. But I'm going to accept that as it was. I got in late from a flight delay. I was trying to maximize my sleep and it was interrupted by the knocking. This is just circumstance.
However, not 15 minutes later, there is more quiet knocking at the door and this person is not identifying themselves as room service. They knock a second time and I put enough clothes on and hobble to the door (I walk with a cane) to answer, and find my door handle turning. I immediately grab the door handle and confront the man who was opening the door to my room. He claims to be with housekeeping but he's wearing a sweatshirt that says "Smithfield" or something similar and nothing like "Home2 Suites" or "Hilton" or any sort of uniform garb. I call the front desk to complain and they excuse this behavior by asking, "You are checking out today, aren't you?" It's not even 10 o'clock at this point. Check Out is at 11.
My partner and I get our things together and go downstairs to ask to speak to the manager, who is definitely expecting this conversation. I believe hum to be the person I spoke to on the phone. He is apologetic and gives me 10,000 points in compensation. But he also excuses this behavior with stories about how other rooms can be ruined after a month and tells me that I should have put up a "do not disturb" sign. It was a one night stay. I can't stay here again. My trust has been breached. You can't open the...
Read moreWhen I first arrived at my room, it looks like it was set up pretty nicely. My only complaint was the desk area was too high for the chair, so it was hard to work on my computer. ||When I went to bed, I was looking through the 4 pillows to select one for sleeping. I noticed a hair on one of the pillows (the only one that wasn't flat.) The pillow was also so pilled, it had a rough surface. When I pulled the bedspread down, I noticed many different hairs in the bed. Since it was late, I did not report to the front desk until the following morning. I asked 2 questions. First I asked if I could get better pillows since they were so flat. The woman at the front desk had an attitude and said that wasn't possible. I then asked if I could get the sheets changed since they came with hairs on them. She agreed. When I came back the next night, the sheets were changed but housekeeping did not change the pillowcases. That same pilled pillowcase with the same hair on it was still there. I will never return to this Home2 Suites and will think twice before staying at another location.||When I checked out, I explained the problem and lack of satisfactory resolution. A different woman at the front desk was very apologetic and offered to comp one night. I explained that my company was paying and that did not really help me. She was very nice unlike the front desk woman from the previous morning. In hindsight, I should have asked for some HH Points to compensate for the issue, but I did not. Either way, I don't see a reason to return to this hotel. There are many comparable hotels in the area that have clearer rooms and...

1 hour from Pikes Peek 18 mins from Garden of the Gods & Canyon Train Ride
Staff: Very accommodating, very nice. Spoke with Lee & Rashad a lot during my stay and they were both very kind and funny. Lee was working 12 hours and still had an amazing attitude. Also spoke with the nice lady in the kitchen and the manager during breakfast one morning and had a pleasant talk with nice laughs about the newly designed hotel.
Location/Rooms: The room we reserved was equipped with a full size fridge, dishwasher, dishes & cleaning supplies for dirty dishes. Room was spacious and has a table on wheels which was nice to enjoy dinner at on the couch with a nice table. An ironing board was also included in the room and you can sign into your Netflix account which was enjoyable at night.
In the morning you can open your curtains to see the clouds covering the top of the mountains - it is a GORGEOUS view!
Location was close to restaurants, gas stations, Walgreens and not far from a highway.
Hotel Accommodations: The hotel has a coffee and tea station in the lobby all day as well as a computer/business area with open access. Pool (no hot tub) but was very clean. Gym was fully loaded and very...
