This EZPawn is back on Santa's nice list. Nicole and Kiki really make this place worth visiting every time. Thanks for turning things around for me!
Old review:
Debated on posting this but honestly the interaction ruined my day so much it deserves it.
I'm a reseller, I always introduce myself as a reseller at any EZPawn I enter. I negotiate yes, but I try to come to a price we are both happy with. I'm polite, kind and always treat people with respect.
Every time I've entered this EZPawn I've had great experiences because they have great items and the staff has always been incredibly friendly. Especially the ladies that work there.
Today however I was treated incredibly rudely by a gentleman because I wanted to present a valid Colorado sales tax license to get my tax exemption. Here's the thing: it was a broken Nintendo switch for $20. So it was $1.65.
But being told that "No. You can pay the tax, I'm not doing that," was a completely unprofessional and unacceptable response. The guy could have phrased it a hundred different ways and I woulda been just fine paying $1.65. but his response made me drop the transaction all together. As well as any future transactions.
I was told it's company policy to not accept a sales tax license for purchases under $500, which sounds ridiculous and made up. I do happen to know that every EZPawn in this district has to call their district manager to get approval for a sales tax exemption, which is just insane. Empower your employees and managers to manage something like this. Especially when the district manager is on PTO. There's no reason a district manager should have to get involved for a sales tax exemption with a valid sales tax license.
I'll continue to shop at other EZpawns, but this location is on my blacklist as long as the gentleman that I interacted with is there. I wish I had his name, but I'm sure they know...
Read moreI live about a mile from the store, have been buying dvds for $1.00 from them since we got here, they take them back for $0.50. the other day, my wife, my baby, our service dog and myself walked in the door, only to be greeted with "you can't bring that dog in here" I responded with "he is a service dog", she comes back with "he needs a vest", at that point I said "no, he doesn't" and I let the dog go with my wife to look at movies while I go to the counter to trade out the dvd's, this tall, skinny, cocky guy come up to the counter and I ask him if he is interested in a tablet, a cheap acer tablet I wanted no more than $15 for, he doesn't want it, "ok fine, can I just trade the dvds back I bought here"? he starts looking at them, telling me they are ALL scratched after I used then once, then he is not interested at all, this guy gave me a very familiar attitude, acting as tho I'm a drug addict trying to get a fix, clearly my wife is on the other side of the store picking out dvd's. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!!! I will never go here again, I hope others learn from this and try not to do business here, there is pawn spot just a quarter mile closer to Hancock, very friendly, non-judgemental, and took all but one dvd that was agreeably scratched. and gave me money for my tablet. thank you pawn spot :-) I will now go give 5 stars to pawn spot. I have a feeling a few more bad reviews are coming for...
Read moreIf I could give a negative rating . It was a situation reminiscent of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. One day, got treated with respect and common courtesy by one person, the next day for the very same matter the other individual, a blonde with tattoos was so rude and arrogant and her attitude was downright nasty, condescending and in my experience and opinion , it crossed into territory of racism, and on top of that she her actions proved that she won the trophy of ignorance that day. She should not be working in that business to deal with people. I would like to file a complaint with the proper authorities to investigate that interaction and experience and if found in violation of standard practices and of racism, she should be fired and be personally fined and never allowed to work in this industry. I would not hold it against the business, but this individual does not belong in a place dealing with people. Too bad people cant be held liable for ignorance in some cases like this and lack of...
