The Robin Hood — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

True to the “Robinhood” theme this place is run by a cheat and liar. I was rolling through town when I stopped in. I was served by Debbie the “manager.” I realized I made the mistake of disclosing that I was just passing through, (lesson learned when in an unfamiliar dive bar,) when, the next day, I checked my credit card charges online. Anyway, Debbie had taken the liberty of increasing the, already generous, tip I left her by $12. I called in and voiced my concern to another bartender who notified Debbie. Debbie, in turn, called me and assured me she had called my bank to resolve the “mistake.” After a few days I still had not seen a credit to my account so I called my bank. The bar was a dump—dimly lit with flickering neon signs that buzzed like angry hornets and stained ceiling tiles that looked like they'd survived a flood or ten. The floor stuck to your shoes with every step, and the smell was a mix of stale beer, sour sweat, and something vaguely chemical no one wanted to identify. Really disappointed my boyfriend just turned 21 and we wanted to go have a nice night out. We live right down the street and we were excited because this was the first night we got to go out and have drinks together. We did nothing wrong but somehow we felt like we did just by being there.
