Such a beautiful concert ruined by what can only be described as day laborers as employees. It was clear from the start these folks knew nothing about the facilities, where the bathrooms were, how to get around in a wheelchair, etc. We made the mistake of buying coffee since it was cold out that night and we were all forced to stand outside as opposed to inside to wait for the concert. For 4 bucks you got cold, bitter and burnt tasting coffee served to you by an employee who treated you as if you were putting them out. As a wheelchair bound person the treatment I received was rude, thoughtless and not a single employee could have cared less that the bathrooms on the night of the concert were wheelchair inaccessible. Me and my wife both were treated rudely as were many others on that night. While I was lightly patted down in my wheelchair, my wife was forced to remove her shoes and coat and then treated to the airport pat down sort of treatment; most everyone else received this same treatment as well. When asked why this was necessary we were yelled at by several supposed employees that women have a better hiding place for bombs! The doors to the hall were supposed to be opened up at 6 and were not until right at 7 so everyone was rushed in and thoughtlessly told to "go find our seats and don't make a scene people" . More than once we and a few others were told that they as an employee did not get paid to deal with handicapped people and that we should just simply stay at home where we would be less of a bother. On the night of this concert once we were in our seats we were told if we got up we would lose our seats! Once the concert go going quite a few folks within our earshot were told to "pipe down" or "the local cops would be called out to quiet the scene". We are at a concert and not some sort of rally now mind you so most of us were confused by many of the actions of the supposed employees that night. Buyer beware you are buying an experience that you...
Read moreAttended the Master P concert last night 7/3/16 with my boyfriend who loves hip hop from this era. Problems noted:
-Event staff were more engaged in show and lusting on females butts versus stopping people from smoking weed or is that allowed at rap concerts?
-My honey and I had the first 2 seats on our row so on certain songs I stepped into aisle only to be accosted by event staff asking me if I had tickets to be on floor and instructing me to go back to my seat "girl"(I'm a grown woman with a career and kids). Excuse you!
-These same event staff however allowed a drunk couple to take seats in front of us knowing they were not suppose to be there but was scared to say anything to them and other people who were more "aggressive" looking who came and stood in the aisle without no problem.
-Performers lip singing or trying to should I say. Once again maybe this is the norm.
-Last but not least toward the end of the concert all event staff disappeared no security around a fight was about to break out in front row while Master P was performing and people were just standing freely smoking and coming down to the floor.
Maybe this is the norm however this will be our last attendance to this venue....
Read moreOur experience at the Township was fantastic. We got there an hour early and had zero problems with traffic and parking. We were able to park a block away, grab a bite at the Mediterranean restaurant across the road, and get to our seats in plenty of time. We paid $5 to park, but the guys stayed with the vehicles the whole show and I like that. The ticket scanners, searchers, ushers, and beverage stand worker with whom we interacted were friendly and easy, a pleasure even, to deal with. The acoustics were very clear, even if a little loud (but complaining about the volume makes me feel really old!). It was pretty hot, but not unbearable, in the balcony once the show got going. AND THE VAPING. I coughed the entire next day. My overall experience was fantastic, but not perfect. We will definitely go back again if the Township will bring in some more alternative/indie acts. I just hope the vaping issue is dealt with most of all. The ones doing it aren’t that sneaky about it, so it should be an easy issue for ushers...
