We had a great 2-night stay over New Year's weekend. There are some talented folks working at this hotel. Every time we visited the desk, the agent was either multi-tasking between 2-3 different guests or deep cleaning the lobby area. We were always greeted promptly and with a smile. The staff at this hotel really made this a pleasant stay! The room was sparkling clean and the whole facility looks brand new.

There were only a few negatives which weren't a huge deal. I wish that the bagged breakfast included healthier options with more sustenance. We were in town for a snowboarding trip and needed protein to keep us energized. The breakfast included a packaged muffin, nutri-grain bar, a juice, and an apple. Not a deal-breaker, just something to be aware of when booking.

Lastly, the design of the room was not practical. It was still a five star stay because this isn't something that can be fixed; nor is it the fault of the hotel staff, but it's noteworthy. The bathroom is right in front of the bed. The sliding door was cute, but it made for a lot of wasted wall space. The bright light against the glass door woke up my sleeping wife when I had to use the bathroom at night. Also, the door does not lock. The toilets were incredibly low-flow and had to be flushed 3+ times after each use. There was so much unused space towards the front of the room and it seemed like every amenity was squished into the back corner, making the large room seem very small. Cable is limited. We like to watch local news channels when we travel, but there were no local channels available. I understand that Marriott is going for a modern design, but this design sucked and did not fit in with the area. I'd expect to see a hotel room like this in Europe, but not Appalachia. I don't think these features will age well.

We would stay again in a heartbeat. After the pandemic, I'd love to use the indoor pool. It's also nice that there is lots of shopping and dining within walking distance. The location is convenient to...

DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!!!

I booked rooms for 12 people - 5 adults & 7 children - four months in advance. However, when we arrived after driving for 6½ hours, we were initially told I had canceled our reservation three days prior. When I showed them that my app that showed I still had the reservation, they then told me that the company I booked through had overbooked the hotel and had canceled my reservation. After speaking to the company I booked the room through - who's system showed my reservation as still reserved- and that company speaking to the hotel, we ended up having ⅔ of our party at a hotel 5 miles away, with the only breakfast being whatever you wanted to buy at the Starbucks connected to the hotel. Never again will I make a reservation at this hotel chain.

EDIT: I returned home from vacation to find that instead of the hotel had charged my card $410.71 instead of the discounted rate of $135.00 they said they were charging me when I paid for the room. When I called the hotel to find out why I was told they would leave a note for the manager and I would have to wait until the she come back to work to find out why they charged me $410.71.

EDIT #2: I spoke with or more accurately, was yelled at by G.M. Kelly Graham - who was unhappy about my review - I was basically told that the hotel did me a favor by finding my family rooms and only charging me $410.71. Hotels use third party sites to advertise available rooms, the hotels, much like airlines, control how many are listed...

This is my second stay. The front desk is very welcoming and was helpful through the week, especially Chloe and Robyn. I like the location, as it is outside of the downtown with no crazy parking issues or traffic. Feels safe. I really love the room layout – the desk is easy to work at. Bonus, the chair was very comfortable and the height setting worked. There are lots of plugs and USB ports. The refrigerator and microwave are nice to have when enjoying a longer stay. I like that I could fit a gallon jug of water in the fridge. The Keurig coffeemaker is nice, but I hate using them because of the plastic pods. Luckily, they always had hot coffee and water downstairs. The bed is comfy and I like the mix of pillows they have. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and hooks to hang your towels. I appreciate they have body lotion and all the bath amenities were filled. Water pressure is okay in the shower, because the large shower head has a dial to concentrate the spray. The sink had great water pressure and a higher faucet. I travel with a mug and reusable silverware, so this makes it easy to clean both. I enjoyed the pool and outside seating area, nice setting. Thank you for...

Newly constructed site. Contractors that built it somewhat sloppy. Room still had debris and spots that needed cleaning. Caulk lines not neat. Drips of paint on wallpaper. Bathroom needs hooks for towels near shower. Drain was unusable to stop water to take bath. Bath tub floor had rust spots already. No cleaning wipes in room. Desk person mask not over nose. Breakfast was prepackaged Jimmy Dean sandwiches. Fresh fruit. Single serve cereal in bowls. Individually wrapped muffins. So that was good. Had to open hot dishes to get sandwiches so multiple touch point. No side table on outer side of queen beds so no place to charge phone or put glasses on those sides. Lots of outlets and usb plugs. Loved sliding window at desk in room. Fridge and microwave clean and functional. Hubby not greeted as gold member. Beds comfortable. Restaurants within walking distance but no crosswalks to cross some streets. Has sidewalks all around but that is town issue. Most people were wearing masks. Pool open but didn't use due to covid. Towels were large and fluffy. Overall not bad place to stay and would go there again.

Not sure how this place has so many positive reviews for cleanliness. Stayed here Memorial Day weekend for a race at Summit Point. We had to switch rooms twice to get one that was acceptable. The first one had long hair all over the bathroom. Not just one or two pieces, looked like someone hadn’t vacuumed in several days. The second room looked like there was urine all over the bathroom floor - wet yellow stains all around the toilet. Finally the third one looked acceptable, until we pulled back the sheets to go to bed and found stained sheets in the one of 2 queen beds. We had to all sleep in one bed as the front desk worker was visibly angry that I kept switching rooms. I’m regularly Platinum level with Marriott and never saw anything like this in my travels. We won’t be back. So much for extra COVID cleaning.

Great experience! Only one night but got the full experience. Staff were super friendly and awesome. They were very welcoming. Our room smelled so fresh and it was huge. We have stayed at similar hotels in the past. We love Spring Hills bc it offers a trundle bed that is comfortable and when you have 2 teens that don’t want to sleep with each other this chain is the best! Always offer extra sheets in the closet. This particular hotel was close the highway and the center of town. Breakfast was amazing! Hot breakfast is our favorite! There was something for everyone! Also, lots of spots to plug in phones to charge! Great hotel!
