My experience dining at the Texas Roadhouse restaurant in Winchester, Va was my most Favorite location, Id always given it 5 star for the past 5 years, but not so, it hasn't been the same, in terms of food, for the past month.. it seems as though the quality of Food has good down tremendously, I have dinner there once a week, both my sister and I are known by most of the staff or servers, we're known as the sisters, we frequent every week, we're also know to the past Manager Monica as well.
I/we order 3 - 5 main entrees weekly and because it's so good, we often get take after our dinner to go as well, that's how much we enjoy the food and services. The service is still great, as far as the servers go. But the food, it's a no.
The filet seems to be a low quality meat or cut, but it is the most expensive steak in the restaurant, and the seasoning is hardly tasted, it is so bland.. The ribs are just as bland no seasoning too, and we always order Ceasar salads, but the dressing is bland as well. What happened???
I'm not sure what's going on, but we will not be guest again until these items return to the quality and taste when Monica was the manager of this location.
We will try again possibly next week. And if it's the same bland and tasteless entrees we will not be returning.
I meant to mention that, when we have company or guest visiting, which is often, we always take them to the/ this restaurant, which (was) the best in the area and location, there aren't any/many large restaurants here in this area, Stephenson, Va. except 15-20 minutes away, some near the Apple Blossom mall and others going towards Stephens City 20 minutes away, but we are willing to go that far 15- 20 minutes away to satisfy our pallets.
We live in stephenson, Va and this Texas Roadhouse location is only 5 minutes away. We've become extremely disappointed in the food, and waited to say something until now, because we know sometimes we all may have a not so good day in the kitchen dept, well it's been a month and it's been a bit so good day in the...
Read moreMy evening started with great expectations, especially since it was my birthday, but it ended up being a nightmare dining experience that I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy. I would give this restaurant zero stars if I could. The delay in service was the initial harbinger of the calamity that lay ahead. Despite an apparently unhurried atmosphere, the server demonstrated the pace of a snail in treacle, lacking any sense of urgency or concern for the escalating hunger pangs of this starving patron
But the pinnacle of disappointment, the true culinary catastrophe, was their supposed specialty - the steak. I requested a medium-rare cut, anticipating a sumptuous feast with a succulent interior cloaked in a seared exterior. Instead, I was served a slab of meat so raw. It was nearly pulsating on the plate. It bore an uncanny resemblance to a 'blue rare', a steak barely kissed by the grill.
Deciding to address this blunder, I called upon our server. However, he insisted that this meaty monstrosity was a fine example of a medium-rare steak. His denial was as bold as it was baseless, making me want to whip out a steak doneness chart to educate him on this fundamental of steak serving.
The final nail in this horrifying culinary coffin was the silverware. Encrusted with remnants of past meals, it was clear these tools of the trade had been neglected by the dishwasher. My fork was literally adorned with dried-up food, an unappetizing sight that further spoiled the already dismal dining experience.
This, dear readers, was my ordeal at this establishment. An evening where my anticipation for a delightful meal was butchered, just like the steak should have been. A night where I left with my appetite unsatisfied, my patience tested, and my trust in their food hygiene regulations shattered. Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy a side of frustration...
Read moreMy husband and I went for dinner tonight. Got our food delivered. My husband got a steak with chicken, smothered. His plate had a steak on one side of the bowl of mashed potatoes and the onions and mushrooms on other side of the bowl. We started eating. The waitress came to check on us and said you have two.. my husband replied thinking she was talking about the drinks.. yes.. the runner gave me a refill. She said no you have two steaks. We then noticed under the onions and mushrooms there was another steak. The waitress requested to take one of the steaks off the plate 😳. I’m like no..he has started eating off the plate. Please let us talk to the manager. Ed, the manager came and ask us how our meal was. We said there seems to be a problem. My husband was served two steaks unknown to us due to the pile of onions and mushrooms covering one. He started eating off his plate and the waitress asked to remove the 2nd steak. Ed said he needed to take the 2nd steak or we would be charged. We replied that it was your staffs mistake and we did not realize right away..and my husband started eating off his plate. The manager felt I was being rude and that we were stealing is the words he used. My thoughts were who would have gotten that steak if they took it back to the kitchen? I handed Ed the steak but he didn’t want it then, we paid our bill, and left the 2nd steak for them to do what they wanted with it! I cannot believe we just had this experience. The manger, Ed, was acting like a bully through the entire conversation. We have patronized this restaurant a lot for events and because it’s so close to us. We will...
