I have no idea how this place has such good reviews… to start this whole ordeal off, when checking in, the front desk lady, who im assuming is the manager, made me put down a $50 deposit. While deposits are a normal thing at a hotel, it should be important to list that in your property policies so no one is getting an unexpected $50 charge. A room at this hotel is NOT worth over $100. Walking into the room, the humidity was unreal. The window was covered in condensation because of how disgusting humid it was. It smelled so strongly of mildew and dirty socks. The smell was so unbearable we had to leave, not even being in there for 5 minutes. When requesting a refund, the front desk lady said she had to go look at the room herself. Weird way to start off with an unhappy customer that just paid over $100 for the room. She comes back and then tells me she accidentally charged me twice (I booked through booking.com and I have NEVER been charged twice when checking in). Also very weird she didn’t inform me of that when checking in. The whole thing felt very scam-like and like they didn’t really care about how the room’s condition was. Not one apology for giving us a room that smelled so bad we couldn’t stay. Should’ve known it was a red flag when the front desk area reeked of Fabuloso. Stay away!!

The hotel had a scent to it—not awful, but not exactly pleasant either. The bedding looked (& felt) straight out of the 1970s, and there was **black mold on the ceiling by the window** and **coming from an electrical outlet**—a major safety concern. The curtain was broken, the towel bar in the bathroom was also broken, and the TV remote was so gross I had to seal it in the plastic ice bag just to use it. On the plus side, the mini fridge was super cold and clean, and there was a microwave (Though we didn’t open). [Winchester Spark does not have a microwave in the room! Not why I didn’t choose them again this time - so wish I had 😩]. The “continental breakfast” was pretty sad: just slices of bread in sandwich bags (& there’s not a snowball’s chance in hell I was eating anything anyone in that hotel had touched & shoved in a Ziploc - including myself until i got a good shower!), some cereal, and orange juice—but I didn’t even see any milk. A prepackaged muffin would have been great. But you have Dunkin’ on one side & Denny’s on the other and a Sheetz and Wa-Wa across the street. Overall, this place needs serious maintenance and a health inspection. I am so grateful our teens had sleepovers and didn’t end up staying. 🙏 Definitely won’t stay again. Likely never at a Days Inn again.

This place was filthy from the lobby to the rooms. I am not sure what the smell was but it seemed to be old cooked meat. Furniture was stained, the carpet crunched when I walked on it and the smoked detector had a plastic bag fastened over it (probably so that it wouldn't go off when the last guest smoked pot), dust in the room was so thick you could see hand prints. I can't even explain the bathroom. The "Breakfast Area" is a dirty closet that i wouldn't eat food from. I have stayed in many Wyndham properties and always had a wonderful experience. This location is a blight on their reputation. If I was allowed I would give this hotel 0 stars

Days Inn is a nice, quiet, friendly hotel, the employees are very nice and kind they give discounts even to seniors and military people, I do have to say Shannon seems very cool and awesome when I first check back in she was very friendly and helpful to get me a week stay under great rate and I do have to admit I also like Gayathri she very friendly, nice, and helpful as well and she also did give me a nice rate this past week, we definitely need more people like Shannon and Gayathri so I do appreciate you both. The house keepers/ hotel maids I do have to say they are doing a much better job keeping up with the hotel rooms and checking up on room service for people that need it at a later time so great job to you guys as well and they are very friendly which is very nice but I have been here for a week going on two weeks or so now there been issues I have had since I been in my hotel room with a leaking toilet that leaks in the back in my bathroom which I have reported 5 times or more now and I was told they would tell the maintenance guy they wrote it down but never reported it to the maintenance guy because nothing yet has been done about the toilet leaking but then I notice after my first 2 days of my stay here that there was mildew on the shower faucet and shower handle on the wall near the tub and I can't be inhaling that due to my health condition having stage 5 kidney disease then I realize after the first few days of my stay I saw a couple of baby cockroaches didn't think it would be an issue then few more days later, I started noticing way more cockroaches so I just been killing them but hopefully they will hire an exterminator to get rid of all these cockroaches but I will say after the owner saw my review he immediately try to resolve these issues with the leaky toilet by having one of his employees come to my hotel room asking if I would like to switch hotel rooms normally I would have said yes but I told them I already been in this room for two weeks what's one more week but I do appreciate them trying to address the situation so thank you guys for that. So even though I had some issues here at this Hotel while during my stay I would say my stay so far wasn't that bad as I thought but it could of been alittle bit better so I think I would rate this Hotel by say a 3 or a 4⭐, I can't fully say my stay was enjoyable but it was still nice and relaxing for most part of my stay so far and I definitely enjoy having a 3 weeks or so get away vacation...

!!! DO NOT USE THIS HOTEL IF YOU WANT TO FEEL SAFE AND/OR BE ABLE TO SLEEP !!!

I used 15000 points to book one night on Monday 30 December 2024. 2nd floor 208. Directly across the hall was a block of about 6 rooms paid for by a company for their workers. Four of the doors remained propped open with loud music until well after midnight. At approximately 1000, I called the front desk and was told the receptionist would talk to them. At approximately 1030 I called the front desk and was emphatically told she had already talked to the tenants, what else is she supposed to do? At approximately 1100 I went to the front desk to complain to the receptionist (Anne) who stated she had talked to them and couldn't keep going up the stairs because she was not physically able. Then at about 1115 five guys were directly in front of our door, and I watched a fight break out through our peephole, and called the police. The police came and told me to stay in my room and only told the five guys to go back into their rooms. Once the police left, they were right back in the hallway making noise. Everything was fueled by alcohol, as everyone was drinking. My wife and I checked out of our room at 1215am and left after Anne informed us we would have to contact Wyndham to get our points back, which is exactly what I expect Wyndham to do! This is our second bad experience in a row with Days Inn, as our last stay in Hilton Head was not much better. Wyndham would be wise to part with the Days Inn chain, as it severely tarnishes your overall brand.

Robert and Diana Scantlin

UPDATE (8 Jan 2025)

Wyndham is now giving me the run around, claiming the hotel informed them we checked out at 3am (bold face lie!) and they will not refund our 15000 points. It matters not when we checked out...we got no sleep, felt unsafe, and if this situation doesn't warrant refund of $$$ or points, someone please tell me what does?

Summary: My wife and I will NEVER AGAIN use a Wyndham associated hotel. Days Inn sucked, but worse is the lack of support from the parent...

I stayed at the Winchester location near I-81 and Rt. 11. At check-in, the man in charge asked me numerous times why I was in town.. I thought that was a little odd and prying. The hotel was rather noisy (children screaming from various rooms on my floor and, at least, 2 dogs barking). Room doors slammed at regular occasion up and down the hallway. It almost seemed like some people were actually living there and not simply visitors staying at the hotel. The hallways were a little sketchy.. dark old carpet, narrow hallway corridors, etc. There were food crumbs on the floor of my room. The south door at the 2nd floor was propped open as was the exterior door down the staircase leading to this same 2nd floor hallway entrance... not very secure as anyone outside could easily access the 2nd floor and never enter the hotel with a key card or even pass through the main office on the other end of the building on the 1st floor. I wouldn't want my wife staying here by herself. Besides that, I would consider it a very bare-bones hotel. Not even a towel rack near the sink to hang a hand towel after use. The bathtub/shower had large beads of caulking around its perimeter panels. The bathroom was a tiny room (essentially a closet) with the shower and toilet and very little room to use either. The single small window in my room (and others that I could see from outside) all had compromised seals (fogging b/w the panes). The TV was very small. Breakfast was very basic..a bagel or 2 pieces of bread and cornflakes. The orange juice tasted well past its prime.. like it had fermented. Plus, the breakfast room was only about 10'x12' in size. Very cramped. I would not stay at this...
