My toddler son and I drove from Texas and made it to Corinth MS around 1:30 a.m. The front desk attendant book us a room for that night. I told him that we would need it for the entire 4th of July weekend. He checked to see if there would be any availability. He found availability for us and we were able to stay the entire weekend. He was very nice and helpful and he helped me with our luggage to our room because he seen that I had my son and so much to unload. On the other hand, the host a breakfast each day did not appear that they wanted to be at work. They were not inviting and acted very standoffish. The room service was very poor. The very first day room service came at 8 am which was upsetting because we were not fully awake and dress. The next day room service showed up at 1130 only to tell me that they would come back to my room because they were working other rooms. I reported to the front desk that room service came to our room on 3 different occasions and never cleaned our room. I requested for my towels, trash to be taken out, and a fresh wiped down. The room service ladies told me that they would come back to clean but only brought towels and did not take the trash. Room service was awful. The beds and pillows were very comfortable but I feel that the prices are overrated. Overall the hotel was very very clean but they can work on their guest services and interaction with their guest. The older man who works overnight at the front desk is amazing, friendly, and...
Read moreThis hotel was chosen for our group (about 21 of us) to stay at by our tour leader/coordinator who is a mutual friend. He always does a great job in selecting places for us to stay this was no different. Located along US Hwy 72 and also at the junction with US Hwy 45, it is a convenient location near downtown Corinth and other sites in the area. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
I had requested a ground floor room, but was given one on the 2nd floor. Most of the rest of our group was given ground floor rooms so I don't know why I did not get one but did not put up a fuss about it. My room was adequate and had a good size fridge (not just the tiny ones in most hotel rooms) and a microwave. Both are items I always look for in a hotel. The beds were comfortable, but too high. I am 6' tall and they were still a bit too high even for me, but that seems to be the going trend among hotel beds. The bathroom was spacious, but not very well lit. If you are in the shower, it is kind of dark and difficult to see what you are doing so I left the door open to allow more light in. There were some rust-colored stains along the top rim of the shower area, but it was clean and had a large, new shower head. Sometimes the toilet had to be flushed twice to work, but otherwise everything in the room worked well including the AC. They have a great full breakfast buffet and also offer some cookies and snacks in the evenings.
I would recommend this place as a good place to stay...
Read moreRoom was nice and spacious, very clean. The issues started with the front desk clerk who tells me that they have rooms but he will have to unbook them as the hotel books all the rooms under fictitious names because the third party sites like expedia.com, hotels.com, etc. get half the room rate if people book through them and they don't like that then he had no idea how to book a room, we tried to get a room for 2 nights after the third try he finally just said I got you one night, come back down tomorrow and have them do the 2nd night. This used to be one hotel, when it was bought they decided to make it two different hotels Holiday inn on one side and Econolodge on the other. we get to the room and decide we are going to swim for a bit as it was over 100 degrees out. we go into the bathroom o get towels and find a small placard that says do not remove the towels from the room and to come to the front desk to get pool towels, we go up we get two of the smallest white towels I've ever seen, we go to the pool and after a while notice other guests with much larger, nicer towels. We ask about the towels and are told they are the pool towels from the holiday in side of the hotel. Which I have to say irritated me to no end, it's was bad enough I had to jump through hoops just to get a room, then I find out that the hotels owners have decided to try and shame people who try to save money by booking the cheaper room. We will never again use this...
