Oh this was awful! We got seated around 6:25 pm, and our server, Josh (female with black glasses), got to our table maybe five mins after that. She took our drink order and we ordered our food at the same time. My mother and I both ordered the broccoli casserole as one of our sides. She leaves and we wait. Other people were sat around us as we waited. About 20 mins later, Josh comes back to "make sure" what she wrote is what we had. She repeated our order and we said that it was correct. She leaves. About ten mins goes by and we notice that a table sat after us just got their food. Josh then walks by our table and says as she's passing, "The kitchen is cooking yalls food!" all chipper. We thought that was odd since we had ordered 30 mins earlier, but we didn't say anything. Then she comes back a few mins later and tells us that "they just ran out of the broccolini cheddar casserole." We literally only came to Cracker Barrel to get this casserole because it seems like they're always out every time we go. So when Josh told us that, I asked her if she just put in the order. She said that she had put it in "a few minutes ago." I asked her why it wasn't put in when we ordered 30 mins ago? If the order had been put in when we actually placed it, they might have still had the casserole. Josh then said that the computer had been down so she wasn't able to put our order in. If that was true, how did the people who were sat AFTER we ordered 30 mins before get their food? If the computer was "down" for Josh, wouldn't it have been down for the other server who was waiting on those tables? Josh asked if there was a different side we'd like to order, and my mother and I were trying to decide if we wanted a different side or if we wanted to go. But then Josh basically made that decision for us by saying "Would yall like something different? Or i can print your ticket for your drinks if yall would like to go." Excuse me? After Josh's folly of not putting in our order when it was made and then lying about it, she was going to make us pay for our drinks? Two teas? My mother asked to speak to a manager, and Josh left. She didn't come back for another five mins while we waited for a manager. A manager also never came to our table. We finally left. If Josh had been a little more apologetic and not using made up excuses, we probably would have stayed and just gotten a different side. But we didn't feel like waiting another 30 mins with such a bumbling waitress. If you go to this Cracker Barrel in Corinth, ask for anyone other than Josh. It'll probably be a better...
Read more12 hr drive, and we know CB is usually the place for clean bathrooms and a few minutes of walking around - not this one! Filthy! And there were no towels in the men's room, except the one already in the urinal. I stepped out to the wait stand to tell them and had to stand and wait while the two ladies finished on their cell phones. When I told them they had no paper towels they said they already know... Then I had to ask for a towel and they handed me 'A' napkin, nearly useless. Go back in the bathroom and discover there is no soap!
We had already driven 10hrs and 2 to go so decided to eat, they had no meatloaf, no fried chicken, no cornbread, and were out of several sides at 7pm! Ended up waiting 30 minutes after we ordered for food to arrive.
Go to pay and the cashier is on the phone with her back to the register. Stand for several minutes listening to her conversation while the two at the check in stand just stand there talking and typing on their cell phones - we even made eye contact and they looked away. A line has formed behind me waiting to check out, wife has gone to the car and called to check on things.
Definitely management issues here, or rather a noticeable lack of management. All of the items mentioned above are easily fixed with minimal oversight and accountability. Never saw a manager. The issues noted above are individually noticeable, but putting them together on one visit makes for a bad memory.
Taking a step back, these are symptoms of systemic issues in the chain of management allowing bad behavior to continue. Poor training, no ownership, and ignoring the most important part -...
Read moreWorst store in the entire chain. I wish there was an option for less than 1 star, 1 is too generous. Last year when the big national feature was the maple bacon glazed chicken, first 4 visits over a 3 week period didn't have it. Next time no one says any thing, then bring it to the table without glaze and inform me they did not have the glaze, which means i paid $2 more for basically the fried chicken breast with 0 offer of compensation. Tonight was the first night of only 1 week of corned beef and cabbage, a rather large national promotion, and guess what no one knows anuything about it, and had no clue it was even supposed to be featured. Not long after this store opened i was there one night and the southern catfish plate was the feature. Looked good on the picture fillets as long as the plate was wide, get my order and i have 5 little bite size pieces that all together aren't as much fish as 1 fillet in the picture. The waitress was visibly embarrassed to sit the plate down. I asked to speak to the manager, and several minutes later he shows up, i had seen him at other tables before this so clearly i wasn't the only one complaining about the fish plate. Without even asking, his comment was the fish plates were portioned by the home office and if i didn't like it, then next time i needed to order something else.
EDIT no reply option, so doing it as an edit, i can't imagine what more detail you could possibly need. This location is horribly managed and obviously nothing is going to change. Just read through a few other reviews and you can clearly see my experience has not...
