Crest Hill Inn — Hotel in Crest Hill

Rudest people I've ever met and too cheap to pay someone to man the front desk at night. I paid for a week there and they tried to swindle me out of a night and they don't want to give receipts. Hope to God you don't need help after nine, they'll bite your head off. The shower curtain was yellow and smelled disgusting, there was a hole in the wall, barely any outlets in the room and you can tell they need to do some major updating because the outlets that were there were very loose. The water was cloudy so don't try drinking it. Their ice machine is one you reach into and some of the ice had black particles in it. Maybe mold? They don't care if the guests scream in their rooms or slams doors and trust me they won't take noise complaints seriously. They have cameras everywhere BUT the parking lot. If you're lucky enough to catch the owner and his wife at the front desk they'll likely be on their phones and be severely annoyed if you need ANYTHING. There's a reason this place has a sign that says no refunds under any conditions....

A lovely location, but Very unpleasant experience. The first night in room #16 the room was very dusty and the floor was dirty. I had to call and ask for a broom or a vacuum cleaner to clean the floor. Every day after that for 7 days I did all the housekeepers work since the housekeeper never came to the unit. The sheets when requested majority of them were stained. Even the mattress cover was already stained from the first night. When I requested a changed one, I was told that was the only one they had and it did all 7 days with its stain.

The vacuum cleaner had an awful dog scent in it, even when I emptied the dog hairs and garbage in it, it kept the stink.

I would like to start off by saying that I did not stay at this motel because it seemed too sketchy. As soon as we walked in the lobby it smelled like cigarette smoke. We tried to look past this, until we saw a sign saying “no refunds for any reason”. That was kind of off putting because what if there’s bugs or a dead body in the room. I would hope that I can get a refund if there’s a problem with the room. I rang the bell to get some help, a kid came out and told us they don’t have any 1 bed rooms even though we called less than 40 minutes before and they said they do have 1 bed rooms available. I asked the kid if we can check out the room before we pay since there are no refunds and he refused, so we left. Everything was just...
