I ordered Mongolian Chicken. Although I thought it was what I ordered. 2 pieces of chicken, all mushroom and water. Except it does not taste like Mongolian Chicken. It's not spicy and taste watered down. Not sure why they can't follow the ingredients on how to cook the correct dish. Are they such in a rush that they just don't care? All they have to do is YouTube it if uncertain. (which I'm going to have to do now, instead of gambling whether this restaurant is going to make Mongolian Chicken the right way "this time".) I feel robbed from being hustled for $35 and a horrible night. Good food brings delight except not tonight. The food literally taste like water and mushroom. It should be called Tap-Watered Sort-of-but-not-Mongolian-like Mushroom with a splash of chicken and more tap water. Who knows? Maybe tonight was just not my night, but why does it ALWAYS have to be a gamble, if the Mongolian chicken will be made the right way. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE deliver the service as promised. This is what we pay for especially with these high inflated over price dishes. Focus on customer service and prepping the food the right way with "reverance". There has to be a better way in handling orders to where nobody is rushed to make it. Just let people know you are not taking any more orders or pay extra to cooks to work over time. What is wrong with this world today? Nobody...
Read moreHave been going to this restaurant for more than ten years. Sue is my favorite waitress. As others have noticed there has been a recent menu change with price increases. But to be fair- the prices have been the same for a long, long time. The new prices are really not that much higher. They also now offer delivery- which is new. Yes there is a delivery fee. (Is you don't want to pay a delivery fee, you can, as in the past, call in an order and pick it up.) I notice that someone else claims that the delivered food isn't as good as the food in the restaurant- I have not found that to be the case. The food in general is not innovative, it's standard fare with large portions. Some of my favorites include: Twice Cooked Pork, Garlic Chicken, Mo Po Tofu. and the Hot and Sour Soup. The dinning room, in my opinion, is actually one of the nicest in Joliet. The restaurant is clean and the bathrooms are clean. ( For some reason I have found when dinning at Chinese restaurants in Chicago, the bathrooms are rarely clean.) The only negative for this restaurant, and this is really minor, is that sometimes they don't have their soft...
Read moreI have been going to this restaurant for well over 10 years now. For a long time they've had a good consistency of well-made well prepared and delicious food. My personal favorites are the shrimp fried rice, the pot stickers, and the beef egg foo young. Unfortunately due to the declining economy, the quality has cut back slightly. There is not as much shrimp as there used to be in the shrimp fried rice, but other than small things like that, their food is still awesome. Even to this day it's still a family favorite. I love taking my friends out to this place because they're always impressed by how well they do. they have even updated the decor. It's a great sit down restaurant and you can have as much of that oolong tea you as you want. Honestly, you just can't go wrong with anything that you order from this place. There's a reason they've been in business this long, and there's a reason why they have loyal customers such as myself. of all the Chinese restaurants that you're going to find, this is by far the best one I've ever been to in my...
