Quick summary: Bad first impression, very ghetto, but excellent service and the best sushi I've had yet.
Bad first impression. Its on the corner of a strip mall, and walking inside, there was NO business. It was empty and it didnt give the idea that this is a 5 star restaurant. I sat down and thought about leaving. Hibachi is only for large groups. Right before I decided on leaving, I told myself to just have faith, well I am glad I stayed, the sushi was just beautiful and gorgeous. It was the best sushi I have ever had. The entrees are also delicious with seared vegetables, shrimp and lobster. The rice was okay. I ordered two rolls in the restaurant, the bahama roll and THE DALLAS ROLL! Omg the dallas roll is loaded with avacado and cream cheese. Its delicious! The bahama roll was also good but very fishy if your into that sorta sushi. I also got another dallas roll and the godzilla roll to try at home. Dispite this place's look, the staff are true at heart and the food it out...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is disgusting!! I ordered the chicken fried rice, the rice was mushy and not fried (you could tell it had been sitting around for a while), they used a frozen bag mixture of vegetables that were hard (I've never had fried rice with corn, carrots, peas, and green beans), as a whole it was flavorless except for this odd flavor it had. Even when I tried drowning it in soy sauce, there was a horrible flavor that nothing would cover. I think that the fried rice you get in frozen foods at the supermarket would taste better than this! When we tried to tell the waitress, she would either walk away or cut us off or over talk us about something completely different, she disregarded anything we said. We were still charged for it and they would not take it off the bill, so she got absolutely no tip! Save your money and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place has the BEST sushi, bar none! I have enjoyed sushi from a variety of local places as well as VERY expensive sushi bars in Chicago and Florida. This place beats them hands down! The rolls are 50% larger than anywhere else. Not to mention the majority of the rolls have larger chunks of fish, which is how traditional sushi is made. The people who have given negative reviews either believe store bought sushi is the real thing or own a competing sushi restaurant I have tried all the sushi places in our region and none are nearly as good as Edo's. I will never eat the ground up mush that others claim is sushi. BTW, the reason it's ground up is so they can put less fish in the rolls and...
