The Inn was very close to the trail. We rented the entire home so we had plenty of space for our group to spread out. Gail, our host, was truly a pleasure to deal with from original booking to check-out. She is a wonderful communicator (and a fabulous cook as we purchased the breakfast option.) The Guest House was all things cycling from the room set aside with a bike rack for bike storage to fun and cozy decorations everywhere! The Inn is large (many bathrooms) and had many comfortable beds. Gail had tasty pastries waiting on arrival and was kind enough to let our support vehicle driver check-in early as soon as the Inn was clean and ready which was really appreciated. Gail works hard to provide an outstanding experience for her guests and she succeeds! I highly recommend staying at her Guest House if passing through Cumberland ... you won't regret it! It was perfect for our group and a pleasure...
My second time here. This time my wife and I decided to bike the GAP/C&O together. Check-in was a breeze, our room was super clean and the bathrooms, showers, and kitchen were spotless. ||The breakfast Gail made the next morning was incredible. There were options for every preference. ||Gail takes obvious pride in the Inn and works hard to make sure everything is just so. There's inside storage for the bikes including charging options for e-bikes. The whole place has fun, bike-related decor and there are lots of books about local history and interesting things to do in Cumberland. ||You won't be disappointed. A great place to stay and we'll definitely stay here again. Tons of dining options in town. We chose Baltimore...
Read moreWe stayed at this place on the evening before a bike tour along the Great Allegheny Passage Trail. This was the best bed & breakfast experience we've had along the route. The room we had was spacious, beautiful and featured a number of little touches that made the experience memorable.
Gail was fantastic in her role as host. Aside from a large-sized breakfast fit to see us through the day, she also made for great conversation and provided a number of good tips. And perhaps even more important, she stocked us well for the upcoming ride, which turned out to be a godsend - the first day was incredibly challenging with sustained 20 mph headwinds. I'm not sure we would have made it up to the Continental Divide...
