Namaste Inn & Suites Dawsonville — Hotel in Dahlonega

My husband and I stayed 3 nights during the Labor Day weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights). Our stay was very enjoyable. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I loved the solid surface floors, I can't stand nasty hotel carpet. Also loved the waterfall shower head and glass sliding door. It was so nice to shower without battling with a shower curtain. They provided ample amounts of body wash, shampoo and lotion. There was a small fridge, microwave, two night stands, a desk and two chairs. There were only a couple of small drawers for clothing and about 4 hangers. Neither was a problem for us as we mostly dressed from our suitcase. They have an indoor pool and hot tub, but we didn't have time to use either. However, they appeared to be clean and well maintained. All of the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. This is a no frills kind of place, and it is in a great location. While we were there we drove to Dahlonega one day and to Helen twice in one day. We also drove to Amicalola Falls and the Georgia Hall of Fame Racing Museum. There were lots of nearby places to eat and shop. The complimentary morning breakfast was a "do it yourself" set up with bagels, bread and a toaster, juice, coffee (24 hours a day) a waffle maker, cereal, pastries, oranges and bananas. Came with my 76 grandmother and said we need a handicap room when we booked, proceeded to try to have us upstairs with no elevator. I explained that my grandmother couldn’t go up the stairs and explained there was nothing she could do. Sadly after having to make a scene she “found” us. Then later that night we went to go to the pool that is inside and it was ice cold. I explained it to the woman and we went in to turn it up and explains that it should take more then 30 mins. That was at 730. Now at 930 it’s still cold and we will not be able to swim. Which is the only reason why we came here in the first place. I go to her to ask due to the pool STILL being cold may we come back after the door closes at 10 to try to get in. Of course we are told again there is nothing they can do. If you tell people your INDOOR pool is open please alow it to be a temp that people can swim in. Thank you! P.S the hot tub leaves a slimmy residue I don’t wish for my worst...

Don't trust 5 star reviews.The smell of cigarette smoke is everywhere.In the first room that they offered us, we couldn’t stay for even a minute because of this strong smell.The second room was a little better, but the smell from the corridor was still there.There is a table in the room, but for some reason there is no chair.The toilet seat was broken and wobbled in all directions.There weren't even any plastic cups in the room.The window packages are so bad that you can hear the slightest noise from the street.I won't even say anything about the pillows.The armchair that was in the room was apparently bought for a garage sale, it was so dirty.We haven't seen such a variety of breakfast options for a long time.Of the hot food, only waffles. You heard right, only waffles.But the price is like for a 4 star hotel.We do not recommend staying there. Only if you absolutely have nowhere to...
