This building should be condemned. This place has a serious and dangerous mold infestation. The staff will not acknowledge the problem even when guests address the issue. No steps are being taken to eliminate the mold.
I spent a weekend at this location as a member of a bridal party. The bride's family provided eleven rooms for an entire weekend. The lampshades in my room (Room 117) had visible mold growing. One bridesmaid switched rooms three times to avoid the mold (Room 116, Room 202, Room 122). Every room had visible mold on the lamp shade. Some rooms had water spots on the ceiling and walls. Past midnight the bridesmaid switched to a room that was passable.
I worked with the front desk night manager to switch members of the bridal party into other rooms. At least three of these rooms were unacceptable (Room 104, Room 108, Room 221). The hotel staff repeatedly moved members of our bridal party into rooms that we had already notified them as being unacceptable. They do not take note of which rooms have been reported with mold and they repeatedly attempt to place guests in these rooms.
The hotel staff denies that the mold is an issue. When I reported several issues to the staff I was told "That's not true." (Ex: "There is mold in my room." "That's not true.")
One front desk manager told me that the mold and mildew is because of Georgia humidity. The management takes no responsibility for the comfort of its guests. There are no dehumidifiers in the building. Also, yes, humidity when not treated creates ideal environments for mold.
Another manager told me "That's not mold. When it rains the AC units pull moisture into the room. And the moisture ends up on the lampshades." Yes. That is how the mold infestation starts. He told me "All our rooms aren't like that." Maybe not. But I personally checked eight rooms of our bridal party and all but one had mold. I also visited rooms where the hair and make-up artists for the wedding were staying (Room 107, Room 109). These also had mold.
I spoke with the front desk morning manager to arrange a late check-out for the day after the wedding. He told me that late check outs were not an option. I went back to my room and hour before check out and had no hot water. A bridesmaid in an adjacent room (Room 118) also did not have hot water and had not had hot water at any point the previous day. I called to report no hot water. The manager said "Thank you" and hung up on me. I talked to him at the front desk and he explained that "When we have a lot of guests the hot water runs out." This hotel does not have the capacity to provide all guests with running water.
When we stood to check out, we waited at the unstaffed front desk for 30 minutes before being helped.
The staff here is awful. The front desk manager told me that he hoped that this experience wouldn't ruin our stay and that we would give the hotel another chance. I told him that I have no interest staying in this mold factory. He said that he will talk to all supervisors to make sure that these issues are fixed.
I encourage the Quality Inn & Suites to publicly reply to this post to comment on the ways in which they are taking active steps to improve their facilities to make them inhabitable for their guests.
Given my experience over the weekend, I do not believe that any steps are being taken to clean this facility. Also, I was staying in this hotel for a WEDDING and the experience for us on this very memorable day has been marred by our stay at this...
Read moreFirst of all let me start off by saying, I never have left a negative review, but feel that I need to regarding our stay here. When we first walked in, the lady behind the counter was not one bit friendly or hospitable. So we did not get that welcoming feeling as we had maybe hoped for. We were told we would not have the opportunity for their continental or free breakfast due to Covid 19...I partly understand, but do believe they should knock off the price of the rooms if they are not going to honor their free breakfast bar. Our room for two queen beds totaled $185.00. Wow....I may feel like that is a fair price in Atlanta at a pretty nice hotel. But seemed very steep especial with no breakfast bar available. As we were told to walk up the stairs, our room would be on the right...we proceeded to walk up the stairs. As I approached the 2nd floor, the carpet was dirty and had particles of lint, hair, and just needed to be vacuumed. We turned the corner and the odor of strong food smell almost like someone had actually been cooking food. We continued to walk to our room. The room was fairly clean. The sheets and towels appear to be clean đ. The rooms however or the one we stayed in was not decorated like the rooms that appear on the website. On the website the rooms look updated, but our room probably hasnât been updated since the 90âs. I was expecting white downs to walk in to a fresh and airy room, but it seemed dated. Their was a pen and a couple pieces of trash laying right beside our bed, but the carpet appeared to be clean. The bathroom is probably the most positive thing about the room. It was clean and well equipped with plenty of towels and wash cloths.
As we got settled in, I walked down the hallway all the way to the end where the sign had said where the ice machine would be. To our surprised the âice machine roomâ was empty. So, we walked down the stairs to look for the ice machine. Didnât see any signs directing you so went by the office to ask. We were directed to the end of the hallway. As I was walking down the hallway, a young boy was bringing two rather large dogs in from the outside side door and entered into his hotel room. Iâm my mind I was thinking, Lordy I hope dogs havenât been in our room. I love animals and have 3 inside small dogs, but just donât think a hotel room is a place for animals (just my opinion). I was successful in getting some ice but wasnât able to get a drink due to the coke machine and vending machine only took cash. This is not a horrible thing, just inconvenient when I didnât have any dollar bills or change with me.
On a more positive note, the hotel was very quiet, no loud noises or loud people. Hallways were quiet and we were able to relax and sleep well through the night.
Overall, we were a bit disappointed in our stay and didnât feel it held up to the standard that was presented in the photos online,...
Read moreRooms were nice but could be cleaner and much more child friendly like they assured us it would be when we checked in. We havea 2 year old little girl and she got electrocuted by the refrigerator because there is a panel that covers the electrical wires however that panel was completely gone and she being naturally curious of everything at this point and was checking it out and got shocked by it. I really dont understand how that safty hazard could be completely looked over. We are very lucky that she wasnt hurt too badly but she did cry for a couple hours after which and had a big huge red spot and our 4 month old cried along with her but thats not the only thing with regaurds to child safty but i am not going to make list but there are other things as well but the two main other things were that they promised us a rate after our initial night because we were not sure if we would stay for a few days or not but were told that they would have the room reserved till the 31st which wasnt done at first but on the 3rd day it was corrected but they refused to give us the lower rate which we were given by the receptionist. She was off and they wouldn't do anything so we got on our choice hotels account and made a reservation for a much lower rate and booked it but when we went to the desk with the confirmation number they wouldn't even look it up and told us that we had to make the reservation with them and not online despite the advertising for the app and website all over the lobby on big signs so we had to pay the higher rate which is just ridiculous and she was pretty moody and rude about everything from the start. And there is only one washer and dryer for the entire hotel an could only be used between 6am and 11pm which is horribly inconvenient and time consuming but not so much as a sorry or"how is everything else" or anything at all that expressed any concern whatsoever and completely unprofessional staff, save onr that checked us inbut she wasnt there for the next couple days. Hope this helps you make an...
