DO NOT STAY HERE!! For starters, I checked my credit card account and saw that there was an additional $200 charge on the day after we left. I called the Red Roof Inn and asked for further information. The person, Billie, had no information on this. She said to call booking.com and didn't bother trying to help me. We didn't use booking.com, we used their website!! I called back and asked for the Manager, who was supposedly in a meeting. I was told they would call me back. But, I immediately called my credit card company to start a dispute case for this. I went onto my Red Roof Inn account and saw there was a receipt. I discovered on my own that the $200 charge was a smoking fee. NEITHER ONE OF US SMOKE PERIOD!! The fee was more than the room charge even! I called the Red Roof Inn back and the person I believe to be the same person answered. When I told them about this discovery, she then acted like she knew all along. I asked for the manager AGAIN. Needless to say, management never once talked to me. My Grandma, who stayed there as well, called and spoke to someone about how she was upset for me and that myself nor my boyfriend smoke cigarettes. The lady then proceeds to tell her, the housekeeper said it didn't smell like cigarettes, it smelled like marijuana. She also stated that the manager, Angela, would not be in until tomorrow. So they lied to me initially about getting contacted by management! My boyfriend has long hair and we both like tie dyes, which we were wearing the days we checked in and out. So not only was the stay horrible, we also got PROFILED/STEREOTYPED and charged falsely all because of what we looked like. I was nice and compliant until I saw that false charge for a smoking fee. When we first walked in the room, room 113, it had an odd smell to begin with! I tried to ignore it because my boyfriend has Congenital Anosmia (born unable to smell). And I am not one to be confrontational about something very minor. We chose to stay here because we traveled for a wedding. My grandparents had rooms here, and we didn't drive ourselves. They overbooked the place so we ended up not getting the room we paid for...They tried calling us 2 minutes before we arrived to let us know, when I feel like that should have been done sooner. It was outdated. There was hair on some pillowcases, hair in the dresser, and one bed had completely different run down sheets on it than the other. There were stains on one of the beds and a few pillowcases. The bathtub had chips in it and would barely drain. The toilet paper holder was rusty and falling out of the wall. One bed was hard as a rock, while the other was soft. Our rooms floor was odd, with most of it being wood flooring and inbetween the beds having a "rug" that's really just patches of carpet covering up where there's only concrete underneath. There was a rambunctious dog or person running all night above us(This hotel is pet friendly.) So we didn't get to sleep much. I'd advise you to not stay here if you can help it!! You...
Read moreDo not stay here. I cannot be more plain than that. |I arrived late after flying all day, walked passed the smokers at the door and went to the counter. Checked in and went up to my room, 225. I noticed a smell in the lobby but thought it was just an older building and that is tolerable. When I opened the door, I was hit with a smell I can only describe as old smoke and mildew. I was too tired to deal with it and would get it in the morning, I basically passed out. My next day started at 4 am, took a shower and couldnt shave with the faded/broken mirror. I wanted to spend time with family and I could not find anyone at the counter, only the group outside the entrance in the breezway smoking, so I left. I called about 1 and told the lady about the smell and needed another room. She quickly told me nobody had ever said that before and I would need a manager, who she said she did not know when was coming back. Came back late again, nobody at the counter, went to my room. Next morning at 6, found someone who again told me they could not change my room and I would need the manager. At this point, I am just going to get through it as all I do is sleep there anyway. Friday morning, no manager. Breakfast was there, I grabbed a couple of sausages and hit the road again. At 11ish that morning, I was puking everything back up. Go figure. Saturday afternoon rolls around, my grandson's 2nd birthday party and my daughter lets me know that I smelled really bad. Her husband gave me a shirt to use when I got out of the shower. Got up at 3 on Sunday morning and left for the airport. Arrived back home at 9 am, not having slept well for days. Opened my suitcase and the smell came out again. Got everything in the washer and fixed the clothes, not sure what I am going to do with the suitcase which is on my patio wide-open in the backyard. Small caveat to this whole thing was I was charged the entire stay when I checked in and was told I wouldnt get it back if I went to another hotel, I had a reservation and agreed to that price. I did find another exit and used it for my stay instead of going through the front door smoking lounge and I believe that was my only win at the place. |I called the main Red Roof line this morning. Started explaining and she told me I had to speak to guest relations. She transfereed me and I had a pleasant conversation spelling everything out where she proceeded to tell me she cannot issue a refund or deal with the issue at all. My only option was to open a case so they could look into it. I absolutely did that and gave her all my info. She said "can you hold while I try to reach someone at the location?" When she came back she said noone was there apparently. Again.... go figure. |Spend the extra money and find another place. Or sleep in your car. Unless you actually want to see the worst place to stay I have been to in 60 years and are feeling...
Read moreI’ll never be back here again. Me my, hubby and our 4&2 year olds stayed one night here because our power went out for a couple days from the storm and when we arrived the tv didn’t work so the lady at the front came to wiggle the cords in the back and said it was normal it does that all the time then my remote wouldn’t work so she tells me to “youtube a video on how to program the tv” like why am I having to do all this when I pay for my room to be ready when I check in? Whatever I let it go so then it rains that night and the floor is soaked from the top of our window in the room leaking so I go tell the front desk again and another lady says “yeah some of our windows have leaks just put a towel down we will clean up at check out for you” like what?…. It was just one night there so we said f it and let it leak and stayed from the window, then around 4am my 4 year olds son wakes up crying smacking his arm we turn the light on to see what’s going on and we see bed bugs in my sons bed trying to crawl on him !!!!!!! We instantly packed up and left it was only $60 to stay one night so I said f the refund bc the lady’s at the front desk were lazy anyways so I knew my refund would be a problem for them. It was so disgusting! Never again! Also none of the vending or drink machines worked or even had any items in them to buy we had to leave to go to a store to get snacks and drinks. Worst stay ever within not even 24 hours! Don’t waste your money here. I see why it was only $60 a...
