Big City Pizza Danville — Restaurant in Danville

We have had decent experiences up until Monday 4/18/22. We ordered $50.00 worth of food for delivery at 7:57 p.m., I also specifically told the person taking the order if they had any trouble finding us to let me know I would be more than happy to text them directions. At 9:03, knowing they were closed I called them since we still had not received our meal. The manager on duty gave me an excuse that they were super busy and they didn't have enough drivers, and now they were closed and it was his fault he didn't schedule enough drivers, yadda yadda...and that the driver had left 10 minutes ago. Another 10 minutes go by, and the driver calls me, and of course he is lost. I calmly asked him why he didn't call me as I requested that he should and I would explain our location, he claimed that information was not shared with him. Finally, at 9:23 p.m. we received our meal, it was not the drivers fault, we were pleasant to him, gave him a $5.00 tip and carried our meal inside. As we closed our door we heard a horrendous screeching sound. Apparently the driver was extremely ANGRY and decided to peel out of the entire residential area, which I might add has several kids in the area and acted like a right moron all the way to the end of the street.

We then opened our food, it was all cold...my pregnant daughter ordered garlic parmesan wings, they were congealed and when she bit into them, the chicken was raw in two of them. She then proceeded to eat her bacon cheese fries. A few minutes later I heard her coughing from the other room....a 1 inch piece of parchment paper was wrapped up and hidden in her cheddar fries and she inhaled it and choked on it.

The cheesesticks were cold as was the pizza bowl and my husbands cheesesteak sandwich. To add insult to injury, as I am eating my chi-town meatballs, a nice hair was also baked in to those as well. Sigh....I have tried to reach out to the business and cannot reach anyone. The first time I called when our meal was over an hour late the shift manager could pretty much care less and didn't even offer to make it right for us.

I know this is a long post, just beware that when this business is hosting a special event such as trivia night, etc., and you opt to order delivery, you may find yourself in the same situation as we did.

We have ordered from Big city from day one and have always had a great experience. But May 28,2022 was far most the worst experience I’ve ever had in any restaurant in my entire life ! We call our order in @8:30 and was told to expect delivery from 40-60 mins .I start thinking thinking at 9:30 I might should call to see what is going on so the girl said it’s still here at the store it should be on next delivery. I am already starved it’s passed out normal supper time ,but I’m like okay thanks she said maybe 20-25 mins 🤦🏼‍♀️I was like okay so 10:00 still no pizza . I call back ask for the manager and he explained it’s STILL THERE !! Yes still there !!!i politely say cancel my order and refund us on debt so he said ok , but explained they use door dash and I’m not sure why but anyways okay I just want our money back . So we go to bed 10:30 our doorbell rings 2 strange men standing there and I of course didn’t answer the door so they leave the food was sitting on our sidewalk !!! It was so cold like it been sitting out for hours , literally no warmth at all ! I call back ask for manager again told him that I didn’t want this we just talked and I canceled and he was saying something about door dash again and that is why it was cold .i explained that when I called at 10:00 the pizza was still there and it was probably cold when ir left he said I guess I should’ve checked.Really !?? When I say COLD I MEAN COLD !! I’m sorry to leave this review again we’ve always had a good experience but last night was the worst , unprofessional, experience I’ve ever had...

I absolutely love this big City Pizza location I remember the first day they opened I was here on opening day and I have been back ever since then this is now my absolute favorite pizza place and I will not order from anyone else that's how great and how excellent their pizza is here I am typically here every payday LOL. My favorite is the Chicago stuffed deep dish. These people always take great care of you and they are so kind and so friendly and the quality of your food is Beyond great. I also love their salad and their other pieces of course but like I said my favorite of all is the Chicago stuffed deep dish, I highly recommend this place to everyone you will not leave hungry that's a promise and you will be back again and again that's how good it is so to the staff in the management here at Big City Pizza thank you all for your service and can't wait...
