I have reached out to Wyndham and Splitty (the third party which I paid for this vacation) and have had no responses from anyone. ||I would only ever stay here again if I was homeless and it was free. ||I arrived on August 10th early and waited in the lobby to check in. I had my service dog with me and we were just relaxing until check in at 3pm. The front desk manager (a man) said he could check me in early and would waive the fee. I didn’t mind waiting, but appreciated the kindness. ||I got into the room and it smelled strongly of some kind of essential oils, maybe rosemary? I guess someone smoked cigs in the room beforehand and they were trying to cover it. ||The wooden door to get to the fridge was broken, the fridge and freezer were disgustingly dirty, a dead ant under one of the sheets when I pulled it back, there was white powder all over the room, the AC unit was CAKED with dust, there were stains on the sheets and food under the mattress. I’m not the type to complain so I wasn’t going to say anything, but around 10pm that night of check in, I couldn’t take it. I was super grossed out. I went to the front desk lady and she came to my room to see. She agreed and started working on finding me a new room. She then showed me two other rooms that when she opened the door, it reeked of cigarettes. That was not okay with me so she called her manager, the same man from the day time. He then showed me a room upstairs, room 240, and it looked better and smelled better than the other 3 I was shown. I chose that and proceeded to move all my stuff upstairs at 10:30pm - this is allllll the same day as check in. ||A few days later, I was kneeling on the floor petting my service dog, and behind her I noticed something sharp poking at me. I then proceeded to find 3 carpet staples literally sticking out of the carpet. I then went downstairs and brought the staples to the front desk lady and told her what happened. This was August 13th at 8:15pm. She apologized and threw them away and that was it. In the morning I asked the manager, the guy, if the lady the worked the night prior had told him about the staples sticking out of the carpet and poking my service dog, and he just looked at the pic I showed him of the staples and went “hmmm” and that’s it. No apology, nothing. ||Also, the place is falling apart. The security door that I used to go in and out of the building was broken, so it was always open and unlocked. The paint is peeling off the walls and stairs and no one cleans the windows - caked with bugs and spider webs. ||I planned this trip in advance and spent my yearly vacation time to stay here. It makes me really sad and upset that this place couldn’t even meet the bare minimum of clean and safe. ||I am attaching my proof of what I...

I reserved 2 rooms with 2 queen beds. Upon arrival, was told I reserved 2 rooms with 1 bed and a pull out couch. Confirmed reservation confirmation says 2 queen beds in both rooms. Was told that they were booked full and nothing could be done. Absolutely not! Was able to get one room changed that night to 2 beds. Was told the second night the other room could be changed to 2 beds. That never happened!
On to the rooms themselves. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! The room with the pull out had no sheets on the pull out. Was given sheets to put on it ourselves. Where was housekeeping!? The lamp shade had mold ALL over the bottom of it! The bathroom towel rack clearly had been ripped off and placed back up without painting or fixing where it originally was. Paint was peeling on the ceiling as well as mold all over! Room reeked of mold/musty smell. Absolutely foul!
2nd room looked like it had never been vacuumed! White peices of paper all over. The toilet wouldn't flush. Anytime someone used it we had to take the top off and mess with the inside to get it to fill! How nasty is that!! I should not have to touch the back of a toilet that God knows who touched to make it work! No microwave to be found!
Both rooms asked for more towels as there was not enough for everyone and was told they didn't have extra!? Then the second night was told at 6pm that housekeeping was still doing rounds, yet no housekeeper was to be found! Asked for more blankets and a pillow and was also told they didn't have extra! How do you not have extras of anything?
The ceiling in the hallway was falling down, peices of it all over the floor that was never picked up the whole time we were there. Wet spot with mold all over it as well as peeling paint and mold around it. Hallways smelled of stale alcohol, mold, and Marijuana.
Breakfast, if you even want to call it that, was a joke. Small mini bagels/bread, 2 cereals, yogurt/fruit cups. That was it. If you weren't there right at 7am you weren't getting anything. By 730am there was nothing left. They never restocked any of it, beside sugar? We stayed until 9 and Never even seen an employee come and check on it. The following day there was no milk for cereal left and was told that there was none left!
I paid almost $500! Not even...
Read moreThe positive is that it was a quiet room and we felt relaxed. The woman at the front desk named Joy was lovely. That made up for the very rude an unprofessional service I received on the phone the day prior. The negatives are having only stairs and no elevator while needing to carry up luggage and belongings. The coffee pot in the room did not work. I was told I could have early check in only to get there at 12 the time I was told, and then be told I needed to wait for 3 hours because there wasn't anything available after all.. The toiletries in the bathroom were all opened and already used probably from the prior visit. They were also all cucumber scented which I am allergic to, so couldn't use any of the products. I had to leave and go purchase my own. Usually hotels have basic products and hypoallergenic products. Not items that are scented due to allergies. There was also no shade on one of the lamps, so the light could not be used because it was too bright without a shade. I also did not like that the couch in the room had 2 huge blood stains. The vending machine, which was our only source of beverages, was not working and took our money. I was able to get it back with the help of Joy at the front desk who was completely "joy"ous and an absolute delight. The place wasn't completely terrible. It works for a 1 night stay, but unfortunately, I would not book this hotel for more than one night. I have stayed at Residence Inn which is right next door multiple times and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. They, unfortunately did not have any availability for this weekend, so I decided to give Baymont a chance. There is potential for this place to be great, but some of the minor things mentioned need to be...
