So I am one that shops services and products by reviews. I was skeptical about this property due to the reviews however, I did like the location so I gave it a try for myself. Before check in, I’d messaged the property for an email. I got a reply back from whom I learned was the general manager tmyer. I jokingly said, give me the penthouse suite overlooking the ocean. (This is not an Oceanside location) I’m not a super picky person but I do like cleanliness and safety. Upon arrival, the hotel, exterior and lobby was extremely clean. I’m like ok so far, so good. There was a difficult guest in front of me and I waited patiently. The clerk tried to accommodate me to get me out the way but the lady wasn’t having it. Simply because she acknowledged me, I was ok waiting. When I reached the desk the clerk said, we’ve given you a complimentary upgrade. I was shocked but very appreciative and thanked her. I had booked this room as a self care getaway. Something I do often where I bring my coloring books, crossword puzzles, music and usually order a steak for myself and relax. Let me tell you when I entered that room I was in pure heaven. The room was beautiful. Two TV’s. Spacious and super comfortable. Opened the window to the perfect view of the lake. It was so extremely peaceful. I could do nothing but smile as I thought of whomever tmyer was I’m sure making this happen. So after checkout the next day, I asked is Tmyer a man or woman? Lol I found out Tyler is a man. Tyler, I want to say to you, you are an angel. I am so very appreciative of the care and concern you put into my reservation. You didn’t have to do what you did but you went above and beyond for little old me. As a substitute teacher starting back soon, That stay was just what I needed. The room was clean. The bathroom was clean. I even tried to look for the complaints others had mentioned and couldn’t find one thing out of order. Breakfast is your usual continental breakfast. The tailgate was stolen off of our pick up truck overnight to which management replied “park at your own risk”! Upon arrival we made a complaint as the parking lot was full up with multiple very large work vehicles. These vehicles were parked in the first rows parking right next to the building perpendicular to the parking spaces taking up 10 to 12 parking spots each. The front desk clerk stated he was aware of the problem and admitted they multiple customer complaints that parking was not amicable to the patrons of the hotel. We parked our secured vehicle under a light pole In a centrally located area of the parking lot about 100 yards from the entrance. The hotel offered no discounts no amenities no upgrades no coupons or waivers for future stays and we’re not the least bit apologetic. The kind police officer informed us that this was the second tailgate theft in the last week And already repeatedly conferred with the hotel management they needed to add security to this location. I consider us lucky because the police officer stated that they usually steal the whole truck not just the tailgate!!! The officer Also recommended we get a full inspection of the vehicle right away as easily accessible parts may be missing or removed as well. I have never had such a poor experience and such lack of concern for our Demise that is clearly the responsibility of the hotel due to the fact that Marriott is a aware of this frequent and known thefts! we have a right to know that parking is not safe. Read moreI recently stayed at the Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Deerfield Beach Boca Raton and found the experience to be quite pleasant, with a few minor issues. Upon our arrival at approximately 5:30 PM on a Friday evening, the hotel was notably empty but extremely clean and aesthetically pleasing.
Our check-in experience, however, was less than ideal. The lady at the front desk did not greet us and kept us waiting for about 5-6 minutes as she attended to something on the computer. Despite occasionally looking up, she did not smile or acknowledge us until she was ready to assist. After finally checking us in, she asked for our preferred floor. Due to my disability, I requested the first floor, but we were assigned a room on the third floor. Despite this, the room was designed for disabilities :wheelchair_symbol: and we found it very clean and welcoming. I especially liked the lower beds and dresser, shower width with adjustable seat, lower toilets and easy grip bathroom faucets, as well as the two separate televisions for a room that slept 6.
One notable issue we encountered was with the iron in our room, which was old and unclean. Unfortunately, it seared a hole in my husband's dress shirt when he used it. Aside from this inconvenience, our two-night stay was quite enjoyable.
The free breakfast offered was satisfactory, and the overall cleanliness and amenities of the hotel were exceptional. While our initial interaction with the front desk staff left much to be desired, the rest of the staff was friendly and pleasant throughout our stay.
Overall, the Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Deerfield Beach Boca Raton is a beautiful and clean hotel with great amenities. If the initial check-in experience and room equipment are improved, it would make for an even...
