I’ve been to Temak House several times before and usually had a good experience, but my last two visits within the past two weeks have raised serious concerns.
On my first recent visit (a Thursday night), I had sushi from their all-you-can-eat menu. About an hour after leaving, I became very sick and started experiencing symptoms consistent with food poisoning — most likely salmonella. I called the restaurant to let them know, and was told the manager would call me back, but he was out of town in Tampa for their new location. Unfortunately, I never heard back, which was already disappointing.
A week later, I went back with friends but didn’t eat anything raw or from the all-you-can-eat menu, just to be safe. This time, the A/C wasn’t working — it was extremely hot, especially for a Florida summer day. We mentioned it multiple times and all we got was a casual, “I’m sorry.” Again, not the response you’d hope for.
To top it off, one of my friends got sick shortly after we left — same symptoms I had the week before. At this point, I seriously question the food quality. What’s most frustrating is the complete lack of follow-up or concern from management after I reported the issue. It shows a real lack of consideration for...
Read moreIf you’re looking for a sushi experience with a unique twist, Temak House is a must-try. This Brazilian-style sushi spot blends traditional Japanese techniques with bold South American flavors, creating dishes that feel both familiar and refreshingly new.
The fish is incredibly fresh, and the presentation is stunning—each plate feels like it’s been designed as much for the eye as for the palate. What really sets them apart, though, are the inventive flavor combinations: creamy tropical fruits like passionfruit, perfectly balanced with savory cuts of salmon and tuna.
The atmosphere is warm and lively, reflecting Brazil’s spirit of hospitality. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always happy to recommend something new to try. Whether you’re a sushi purist or an adventurous foodie, you’ll find something to love here.
Highlights for me were the salmon with passionfruit sauce and the crispy shrimp roll with cream cheese—flavors that you won’t find in a typical sushi restaurant but that work beautifully.
Overall, Temak House is the perfect spot if you want to expand your sushi horizons. It’s playful, high-quality, and delicious—an exciting mix of Japanese precision and Brazilian creativity. Ricardo was our sever and...
Read moreI’ve ordered from this place many times, and every single time I ask for extra green onions and ginger, they forget to include them — even when I specifically mention that they always forget. Their only response is always, “Next time we’ll make sure to send it.” But “next time” keeps happening, and the same issue repeats.
This time, they didn’t even include wasabi with my sushi — which is honestly shocking. How does a sushi place forget to send wasabi?
What’s frustrating is that this isn’t a cheap treat. With the delivery fee, tip, and sushi prices, it adds up quickly. When we order, it’s because we’re trying to treat ourselves to a relaxing night. Instead, it turns into a stressful experience — again and again — with zero real solution. A simple, “We’ll do better next time” doesn’t fix the ruined night.
I have been patient for a long time, but I’m really disappointed. If you can’t get the little things right — especially after customers keep reminding you — it shows you’re not paying attention or don’t care.
Picture shows everything that was sent. 3 containers of eel sauce for 3 rolls of sushi...
