Iâve been to Temak House several times before and usually had a good experience, but my last two visits within the past two weeks have raised serious concerns.
On my first recent visit (a Thursday night), I had sushi from their all-you-can-eat menu. About an hour after leaving, I became very sick and started experiencing symptoms consistent with food poisoning â most likely salmonella. I called the restaurant to let them know, and was told the manager would call me back, but he was out of town in Tampa for their new location. Unfortunately, I never heard back, which was already disappointing.
A week later, I went back with friends but didnât eat anything raw or from the all-you-can-eat menu, just to be safe. This time, the A/C wasnât working â it was extremely hot, especially for a Florida summer day. We mentioned it multiple times and all we got was a casual, âIâm sorry.â Again, not the response youâd hope for.
To top it off, one of my friends got sick shortly after we left â same symptoms I had the week before. At this point, I seriously question the food quality. Whatâs most frustrating is the complete lack of follow-up or concern from management after I reported the issue. It shows a real lack of consideration for...
Read moreIf youâre looking for a sushi experience with a unique twist, Temak House is a must-try. This Brazilian-style sushi spot blends traditional Japanese techniques with bold South American flavors, creating dishes that feel both familiar and refreshingly new.
The fish is incredibly fresh, and the presentation is stunningâeach plate feels like itâs been designed as much for the eye as for the palate. What really sets them apart, though, are the inventive flavor combinations: creamy tropical fruits like passionfruit, perfectly balanced with savory cuts of salmon and tuna.
The atmosphere is warm and lively, reflecting Brazilâs spirit of hospitality. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always happy to recommend something new to try. Whether youâre a sushi purist or an adventurous foodie, youâll find something to love here.
Highlights for me were the salmon with passionfruit sauce and the crispy shrimp roll with cream cheeseâflavors that you wonât find in a typical sushi restaurant but that work beautifully.
Overall, Temak House is the perfect spot if you want to expand your sushi horizons. Itâs playful, high-quality, and deliciousâan exciting mix of Japanese precision and Brazilian creativity. Ricardo was our sever and...
Read moreIâve ordered from this place many times, and every single time I ask for extra green onions and ginger, they forget to include them â even when I specifically mention that they always forget. Their only response is always, âNext time weâll make sure to send it.â But ânext timeâ keeps happening, and the same issue repeats.
This time, they didnât even include wasabi with my sushi â which is honestly shocking. How does a sushi place forget to send wasabi?
Whatâs frustrating is that this isnât a cheap treat. With the delivery fee, tip, and sushi prices, it adds up quickly. When we order, itâs because weâre trying to treat ourselves to a relaxing night. Instead, it turns into a stressful experience â again and again â with zero real solution. A simple, âWeâll do better next timeâ doesnât fix the ruined night.
I have been patient for a long time, but Iâm really disappointed. If you canât get the little things right â especially after customers keep reminding you â it shows youâre not paying attention or donât care.
Picture shows everything that was sent. 3 containers of eel sauce for 3 rolls of sushi...
