Wow! Wow! Wow! This is a must to go visit!!! Yes it will blow away all other hotels!! There are so many small details makes this hotel the best of the best!!! quality service and above and beyond quality rooms it will satisfy your needs1000% The hospitality the room wow!! As soon you arrive there you feel you are in a island yes even if Del Mar road getting busy this feeling when you walking to the property is one word welcome to the paradise!!! You will be welcoming with a complimentary glass of wine at the front desk and excellent service!!! Lets walk to the room now this is the best part you open the door and you are wow!!! With a big smile from what you see high end quality furniture the bed the pictures the table the floor the colors the mirror lights up by one tach to the mirror circle line and light come on or if you hold it it change brightness wow!!! The one think I was making fun was the 2 sets of round bath pad for shower my joke was a hunny look it has a Polishing pads for my car too!! She reply back you can use them for box training too lol. You have to visit its in the best location next to fabulous poseidon restaurant and beach 15 feet away you don't have to drive you are in the beach! very safe you have the lifeguard tower close and you can surf and have your kids and family all protected. Its very relaxing place and if you don't have yet visit you should go visit and you will be very happy !!! You are at your own privet island feeling!!! Room wow! Beach very safe and clean! Restaurant next door walking distance ! Parking is free and plenty where other places I look before book they charge a lot $$ you can spend them at poseidon bar next door instead!!! Del Mar Beach Hotel is a beachside gem! I’ve stayed several times since its recent renovation. Think classic motel reimagined with the ultimate in amenities. First, its prime location right on the beach is unsurpassed. Next, the staff is consistently friendly and helpful. (In fact, Jessica at the front desk was especially warm and welcoming when I had a few teary moments while checking in shortly after my sister passed.The welcome bubbles she offered were definitely appreciated!) The rooms are simple and spacious, decorated with a California-cool surf theme; my husband said his day zooming at the desk in our room was one of his most productive ever. Also in your room: comfy robes, refrigerator, safe, and a good in-room Keurig. The lobby also has a fancy coffee machine where you can get complementary coffee. No need for Starbucks here, or even a lobby bar: there’s also a wine-by-the-glass machine (unfortunately, not complementary!). Just take your beverage and head out to the sand - or enjoy on the nice little beachside patio, which also offers lounge chairs and fire pits. You’re also next door to the beachside Jake’s and Poseidon restaurants for other options. (Note to DMBH marketing people: how about a discount, or maybe a fun “secret” drink from these neighbors?) Are there negatives? Hmm…you’re not really going to have an ocean view room, since the hotel is at a ninety degree angle to the beach. And maybe the room ventilation system has too much white noise while it runs. Some additional hooks to hang stuff on in the room would be nice. The Del Mar Beach Hotel is the perfect spot to relax. The rooms are spacious, clean and recently renovated. Location is superb and the staff are wonderful!

Location is perfect- Del Mar felt less touristy than many other options nearby and while surly the home to rich, active retirees it still felt welcoming and like staying in a lovely walkable village. A short walk from the hotel are multiple restaurant choices and boutiques to browse.

Right on the beach! The property is right at the sea wall and next door to a lifeguard stand. They have absolutely anything you’d want to borrow for a day at the beach- chairs, umbrellas, toys, beach towels.

I really enjoyed the open seating by the sea wall! It’s not a restaurant or bar, you can sit there in peace and enjoy the view of the water, the surfers, & the birds. This area has space for small groups of friends to gather, a few tables with chairs, & tall chairs overlooking the beach. They have wine by the glass at the reception desk & your room has a mini fridge.

Staff were attentive and present but not hovering or bothering. Rooms are cleaned daily and housekeeping did a wonderful job. The manager was truly welcoming & helped resolve a concern I raise immediately.

Also, parking is included! I didn’t have an issue with finding a spot, this is a real bonus since many locations charge an extra daily rate.

One thing I’d do differently- Next time I won’t bother on the partial view room to save some money. The view was mostly of the back of the lifeguard tower and a small spot of water, hence the partial and why it wasn’t a big part of the experience.
