Not worth the money - terrible experience for over 200 a night! See reasons below: 1: This place used to be an apartment and was converted into a hotel room. The bed is a Murphy bed, hidden behind a closet - yes, inside the closet. 2: They claim it’s a queen bed, but we measured it, and it’s almost 5 inches shorter than a standard queen. Of course, since it’s part of a closet, they had to save space - but that means it’s way too tight for two people to sleep comfortably. 3: The bed has zero support and is extremely soft - my entire back sank into it. I honestly don’t know how anyone can sleep like that. 4: If you enjoy lying in bed to watch TV, skip this hotel. There’s no proper pillow or back support, and you’ll end up falling into the gap between the bed and the closet. It felt like playing hide-and-seek instead of relaxing. 5: The shower pressure is as weak as garden sparkling water. I could barely wash my hair — it took five minutes just to get my hair and body wet. What a joke for a place that calls itself a “luxury resort.” 6: There’s a train right in front of the room. You’ll be shocked at how loud it is — it really wears you down. 7: The room is very bright, with lots of uncovered windows. Good luck getting any real rest. I paid over 200 for one night and had a terrible experience. I honestly wish I could get my money back!

Must of my disappoint with this experience I must say is my fault because I did not read that they did not have air conditioning and there would not be a regular bed in this room. After the two day heat wave we were able to adjust and the weather is really nice at this time. The legs on the Murphy bed broke. I called the front desk. They sent a repair man. He told us that he would have to ask his boss to order another part and he did not attempt to do anything to hold the bed up did not suggest anything. So as he’s woken out to leave us with and broken bed, as if that’s OK. My husband asked him if they had something that they could put under it to keep it up. He said he would see what he could find. We have never seen or heard from him again. Last night, my husband had to take the pots out of the kitchen cabinet and stack them under the bed to hold it up. Figuring out how to sleep in the bed without rolling onto the floor does not make for a good vacation. And it pisses you off when you think this is what you use your timeshare points for. • By submitting feedback, you grant

Let me preface this by saying that my wife and I are from Southern California but we now reside in a different state so we are well aware of the weather in SoCal. I stayed here in the first weekend of September, 2024. I booked the stay on their website. The wording on the reservation stated ocean view. I took a screenshot of it when I booked it. I do that for every reservation I make.

We were placed in a suite furthest from the ocean with no view or even a window facing west. I showed the manager the screenshot and he showed me the wording that states they will not guarantee an ocean view. He questioned whether I actually booked it on their site and said it was a third party site I must have booked it. The screenshot did not show their URL so it was hard to prove it. I am the one who booked it on their site because it is less expensive booking on their site. They had conflicting messages and they were not going to place me in a different suite and the only thing he told me was they will change the wording for the future. There were no attempts to provide any concession for what was clearly their mistake.

It was too late to book anything anywhere else for that price so we decided to stay. NOTE. THEY DO NO ENABLE THE AIR CONDITIONING IN THE SUITES. We knew this but the promise of an ocean view in the booking meant we would at least face west and get an ocean breeze which is why we booked this. With that not being the case, the room they gave us was a first floor with no windows facing west. It was hot and stuffy. They provide a ceiling fan and a stationary floor fan. So, we had to open all the windows in the suite and turn on all the fans to even to even be livable.

The problem with this is that the grounds are not surrounded by fences and our suite faced the street. Leaving all the windows open provided access to our suite from anyone from the street or busy sidewalk. There is only a screen between the suite and the people walking and there was always people walking along the sidewalk. It was not secure so my wife and I locked the bedroom we were in, when we slept, just in case someone decided to come through the screen. So you see how the wording on the reservation of an ocean view not being fulfilled created a chain of events of discontent with the experience of the room. Had we known we would have been given this room we would never have booked this reservation, at least not at this time of year.

With all that said the grounds are great, it is right off the cliffs in Del Mar next to a park. We watched sunsets and walked on the beach. We had drinks and food at the local restaurants. It was a great vacation.

Other than the issue with our room , the staff is friendly and accommodating. The grounds are well kept and the pool is in a great location.

Would we come back? Yes, we will comeback but not in the summer when its too warm to be without some sort of relief. If it's too hot and if they will not guarantee an ocean facing room then the chances of getting a suite like ours will make it too miserable to even sleep...

We reserved this place basically knowing nothing about it. We just knew we wanted a condo close to the beach with a pool. This was the perfect place for us. It is a timeshare, so we seemed to have been lucky to stumble upon it in a search. ||||We had a one bedroom with a full kitchen with basic needs for cooking and not eating out every meal. The bedroom was large and comfortable, the shower worked just fine, the living room was nice to have separate from the bedroom. It is nicely decorated and maintained. It could use some updates, but that wasn't really important to us because it was all we needed, we didn't need to love the 90's vibe. Keep in mind there is no AC, though its not often needed in Del Mar. There are ceiling fans and open windows that work fine for sleeping. There is a pretty loud train crossing horn nearby which you do hear, and about three times in the night, but after the first night we were not bothered by it.||||The grounds can't be beat! I really felt similar to the way I feel when visiting Hawaii. It was peaceful and tropical. The pool, while small, was perfect! We spent most of our waking time at the pool. There are tables with umbrellas, lounge chairs, and BBQ's. We brought food down when we were hungry and enjoyed relaxing in the pool listening to the waves crashing in front of us. You can see the ocean from the pool, and in my opinion, that is pure heaven. There were times families came to enjoy the pool, but most of the time it was quiet and tranquil.||||We were there during COVID and the resort took all the necessary precautions. Wipes and hand sanitizers were readily available near the pool, they had contactless check out, all staff wore masks and they asked guests to wear while walking around. The room was sealed and all the dishes were in dishwasher and sanitized. Unfortunately, COVID took away the activities in the game room and the spa.||||We have never considered a timeshare before, but we would consider this place. Can't...
