Came for brunch to celebrate my husband's birthday and had a really great time. Lovely sitting outside and the food was also very nice!
Massive portion size on everything and a really creative menu as well. I was a little sad that the website mentioned one salad that I was hoping to get but they didn't have it. But absolutely love how the server and kitchen were able to customize a salad just for me. Major thank you for that!
Steak Salad but with chicken instead + strawberries. It had mixed greens, corn, cherry tomatoes, red onion, avocado. There was a dressing that came on the side as well but I didn't add any because it was lovely on its own. I would say the chicken was a little bit overcooked and dry but otherwise a very flavorful salad!
Farmer Burger (Sautéed wild mushrooms, grilled onions, egg, Swiss cheese, arugula lettuce & garlic aioli) Husband got this burger with a side salad and the burger itself was phenomenal! The mushroom and onion along with the meat and cheese and everything else going on was really really delicious!
Chorizo Flatbread (Mexican chorizo, scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, sliced avocado & chipotle crema) One of our friends got this with a side of bacon and he quite enjoyed it. Very large flatbread as well and it definitely looked appetizing!
Benedict & Biscuits (creamy spinach, poached eggs, honey chipotle hollandaise, & breakfast potatoes) Not going to lie this meal looked really phenomenal! Quite a large portion size and those potatoes look tasty as well. I'm pretty sure it was nice because the guy actually finished everything
Chilaquiles ( eggs, tortilla chips, tomatoes, red onion, avocado, crema, queso fresco & tomatillo sauce) Two people on our table actually got this and both said it was lovely. They liked how the chips were not cooked with the sauce and they were actually still crunchy. There was also extra sauce on the side which they appreciated. Both people said that they usually get soggy chilaquiles at other restaurants but this one was the perfect balance of crunchy and saucy.
Churro French Toast Bites (with chocolate dipping sauce, whipped cream, seasonal berries) A friend on the table got this and shared it with her husband. Very creative concept here! I was expecting slices of bread but it turned out to be a little bits of bread that were cooked like French toast and then coated in cinnamon sugar. French toast itself was nice but I wasn't a fan of the chocolate sauce. So I personally wouldn't get this item but...
Read moreI usually had excellent service, loved the vanilla bean cream brule so we decided to go to Sbicca. October 12, 2018 this past Friday a guy server on the second level spoke to me with such disdain. There was no one directing seating at the entrance when we arrived, it was raining so we made our way up to the second level. A guy with dark hair had several pointed remarks that shared his view on blondes, filled with contempt until my guy friend said he prefer brunettes.
Amanda, thanks for wanting to resolve something you could not consciously imagine. But the reality is, is that sometimes people we hire do not reflect the legacy maintained over the years. The good news is, I will always refer friends to your restaurant based on the quality of your food and the creativity in preparation you have always exemplified. As I said I have always had exceptional times filled with laughter, and community with friends at your outdoor seating. Several friends from Paris enjoyed your restaurant pastries and wine menu.
Being cognizant that we hire people that will not always reflect our business model is what happens in real life! Your waiter chose to assume, vs be welcoming, it was contrary to anything I had experienced prior to that evening. Trust me, I did not arrive at your restaurant to make a scene. People who work for a business should understand its not personal. I did not breach any of your protocols, nor was I loud or obnoxious, WE were merely interested in if you still were serving the vanilla bean cream brulee' that I ordered with Prosecco countless times before having him as a waiter.
Thank you for being the sophisticate as you have always been. Sorry for reporting this, but it saddened me since I have frequented your place...
Read moreWe recently had an incredible happy hour experience that was all about good food, drinks, and the perfect vibe. The lineup we ordered included calamari, sliders, and sweet potato fries, and each dish was a standout.
The calamari was cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and not overly greasy. Paired with a flavorful dipping sauce, it was one of the best we’ve had and set the tone for a delicious spread.
Next came the sliders, which were an absolute treat. The patties were juicy, well-seasoned, and served on soft, fresh buns. Topped with crisp veggies and cheese, each slider was packed with balanced flavors and just the right size to make you want more without being overwhelming. They were ideal for sharing or enjoying solo.
The sweet potato fries rounded out our order. These were just the right blend of crispy and soft, seasoned perfectly to highlight their natural sweetness. The dipping sauce added a touch of extra flavor, making them an irresistible snack.
A side note that made this happy hour even better: they offer half-off wine bottles on Tuesdays and Thursdays! This deal is perfect for wine lovers looking to elevate their happy hour experience.
On top of it all, the service was fantastic. Our server was attentive, ensuring we had refills and everything we needed. The happy hour vibe was lively but relaxed, a great setting for enjoying delicious bites and drinks. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a...
