My family and I stayed here many times to visit family and friends and well we gave this place a lot of chances but finally have given up. We will no longer stay here. I am livid just typing this :/ When I booked with Wyndham, we were all excited since we haven't had a mini vacay since the entire pandemic.
I indicated to Wyndham customer service to add the accommodations of a crib since we are traveling with our newborn. When I went to the front desk to check-in, they indicated they would run the crib to us. We waited a few hours and called the front desk to ask for extra towels and the crib, they said they had a lot of people check in. A lady that brought our towels said they don't have cribs anymore because people were stealing them. I asked, "you all don't have cameras or charge the last person that stayed there to file a claim or charge them to get new ones?" She said she "didn't know". So I found this very disappointing and an excuse. They need to take this accommodation off the website and update Wyndham corporate customer service as well as staff to be up to date on what they do and do not have.
A caucasian lady with thin eyebrows, never got her name, had an attitude when I tried to recall what rooms had a daybed since it had been a while since I stayed there. When I couldn't recall if some rooms had daybeds with 2 or 1 bed, she looked at me like I was crazy and looked at the other staff member to try to understand and wanted to laugh. That is not acceptable. Customer skills were lacking.
The park outside had caution tape all hanging off of it. A trash bag was left outside of the building by the trash can. Wasps dead bodies were outside by the doorway and were not swept up. The website didn't advertise that renovations were being made.
The next day we arrived for breakfast 30 min prior to closing to get a quick bite and there was no seating until an older lady waitress with the glasses over her nose and no smile said (like she was getting after us) "you know breakfast closes in 30 min". I said I know but asked "I don't see a place to sit for me and my family" She indicated that there was more seating in the back. There was an open area in the back with tables and stained tabeleclothes and chairs everywhere. My grandma made her plate and the refried beans looked white and crusty. I seriously wanted to throw up. We left everything there and headed to another restaurant nearby. I will give credit to a waiter who helped relieve the situation. He gave us paper mache flowers, juice, and serving us what he could help with. I gave him a tip because I used to be a waitress and saw he tried to make us feel better and was in a great mood.
The inside pool and jacuzzi have a spa room that has been shut down every time I stayed there for years. The surveillance camera for the inside pool has been broken for years all rusty and turned around so it faces a wall. The vending machine had barely anything in it and dirty clothes on the ground.
Some of the workers there look so unhappy, rude, and frustrated when I have stayed there before. This place almost looks fancy and has an abundant set of accommodations with renovations happening, however, renovations for customer service and manners are what is NEEDED along with the lazy upkeep in...
Read moreTruly only gave the 1 star since it was required to post review. I would adamantly advise against staying at this hotel. Our family stayed for a 2 night stay. Arrived on Friday evening and the desk clerk was hassled, red faced and arguing with 2 older ladies who were in front of us checking in. While checking my husband and I in, clerk was rude and snippy. Upon arriving to the room, 1 of the room keys would not open door...displayed red light. We dropped off our bags and turned on the a.c, room was hot and stuffy, outside temps were in the mid 80s with high humidity ...room had a musty odor and a.c. made a loud rattling noise, which never stopped. After traveling and already seeing the desk clerk arguing and being rude, had no desire to have any further conversation with her. We were exhausted and went to bed. Saturday morning arrived, we prepared for the family event we were going to and left our room with luggage zippered shut. Few personal items(face wash, lotion, cosmetics and body wash) were left in shower and on sink. Upon returning to hotel Saturday evening, all personal items were gone.....luggage looked like it had been rummaged through, but nothing missing(stay was booked as 2 nights)....great......woke up in middle of the night to use rest room...2 very large cockroaches walking up wall above bed....even better. Housekeeping did not replace all of our towels, dirty towels removed and we were left 1 washcloth and 1 bathtowel and several small hand towels. Sunday morning at 9:30am, brushing teeth and watching news, we hear what someone attempting to open our door. Luckily, we had put latch across door, prevented house keeper from coming in. Check out time is 12:00.....we were finishing dressing and packing....there was no knock....no announcement of house keeping....advised female that were still using room and of course would leave by check out. Apprx 30 minutes later we began to load our suv with luggage, as husband walked past housekeeping cart, house keeper asked if we were done yet and advised she can not leave until the rooms are done and it was Sunday. House keeper commented that too many people wait until the last minute to leave and that pushes back her plans.....quite honestly we were both speechless. I have never had such an experience at a hotel, especially a Ramada....the onsite bar seems to be the big draw to this location. I would not suggest parking anywhere near the front of the hotel, people staggering and leaning on the 2 rows of parking directly in front of bar. First and last stay here ever. We have advised all of our family and will continue to do so for any...
Read moreCheck in was ok. Check in time was 3p we were there at 415p. Only one person at the desk. It was a bit slow but efficient, all questions answered. She had a great sense of humor. Our room was downstairs, poolside. The pool area was beautiful with plenty of sitting areas. Nicely shaded in some spots, with plenty of areas for sunbathers and a green space to walk the dog. Dogs are welcome here and they have disposal areas with bags for your dogs droppings. Our room was a King standard. The AC was on and set on 69 but room was humid and somehow stuffy. As hot as it was outside it felt cooler outside. There was also a smell , it wasn’t mildew, honestly not sure what it was. The room was smaller than expected, but for 2 nights it was fine. The room was clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable. The TV was a good size wall mounted flat screen which left the dresser space for personal items. Microwave and refrigerator were hidden in a cabinet and worked well. The bathroom area was separate from the sink, vanity which was nice. The shower area needs some love. The door didn’t close all the way and if you got it closed you might not get out. Some paint and longer shower curtain would also be helpful. The shower curtain went over the side of the tub at one point and flooded the floor. That said the shower head was high enough and put out enough water that you didn’t feel like you had to do the shower shuffle to get all the soap off. I wouldn’t be offended to come here again but I might look for a better deal on the room price. Check out was able to be done over the phone,...
