The funny thing is that the hotel itself in regards to the rooms are amazing! Person it turned out to be my favorite out of the entire town of Deming; because of the effects of the room. How clean the grounds are and well kept. I would have easily given these guys a 5 star rating, but they have a few young people working at the front desk and the head housekeeper seems to have some issues. On the way back to the hotel from where I was working; I called my family to tell them that we were going to stay another night, and to let the front desk know because it was near the 11 a.m. check out time. My fiance was busy so she had her oldest son call the front desk and have them charge my card that I would be there soon. I got there at 11:10 a.m. and immediate began to take a shower after working at the desert 5 minutes into my shower my fiance Came to inform me that the day housekeeper was threatening to call the police!!😳 because it was now 11:15 and we hadn't checked out yet. Soaking wet I had to step out of the shower and grab my cell phone to call the front desk and explain to them there was a simple miscommunication and that we would prefer to stay for another night. Express the young lady that answered the front desk that I would be a pretty promptly as I was in the shower and that if she has to charge my card she could go ahead and do that unless there was a reservation for the room we were already in I will be glad to switch rooms at that point she wasn't sure if there was a reservation which means she did not even check on that yet. 10 minutes later when I came out of the shower my family had packed everything up and was prepared to move in case we needed to go somewhere else. The young lady that was at the front desk came up to the room to speak to me. our conversation was going fairly well and I informed her that I have worked at the hotel industry before and that we always check for reservation first and that if someone does or that we thought they had asked for a late check-out we give them at least 30 minutes. She said she understood and that it was okay if we need to stay another night as she was saying so the maintenance man who was out in the front yard working on the ground walked over the interrupted our conversation and told us to leave; I asked whom he was and introduced myself at which point he said he was the maintenance man. I politely informed him that the conversation was between the young lady and I in charge of the front desk and that we were working things out. For No reason whatsoever he turned to her and simply said "go call the police"😳 at which point she walked away and did so. So my family went to find a different hotel as I waited for the Police Department of Deming. I I called Corporate Office customer service I was given a reference case number and Iwas promised it would be able to get another night there which they were going to give us for free due to the situation, and that they would inform the owner and the manager. I was told that one of those two if not both would get back to me. The police department told me that I should not come back that I was being told to never "trespass" again. The manager nor the owner was there to make such a statement. The police department or I should say the officer on hand was clearly making the statement on his own which is not even legal. I told him I would wait to hear from them it would be worked out eventually. I have since called and left several messages giving my name, number, in voicemail. I have left my email address and still to date have not heard a word from them. Unfortunately for them as I would have already rented...
Read moreI've stayed here a few times over the years when driving between San Diego and Austin. It's not usually my first choice, but when I'm just stopping for a night and I'm traveling alone I'm typically looking for what's more budget friendly. With that being said, I do still expect the room to be clean.||The first time I stayed here was a few years ago and they put me in an occupied room, luckily the occupants weren't in the room when I used the key to enter. I also read the reviews and it seems like this happened to one of the other reviewers as well.||On my most recent stay (9/18/24) I booked the room through Hotel Tonight which had said the hotel was 100% non-smoking. Turned out Hotel Tonight never verified that statement and there are actually 2 smoking rooms, unfortunately I was stuck in one of those because there weren't any other available rooms that night. I was tired and had already paid through the app and didn't want to lose my money by leaving, so I inhaled the stench and stayed the night. It wasn't the motel's fault so I couldn't get mad at them and Hotel Tonight has since updated the info. The issue that the motel is responsible for is the lack of cleanliness. I had roaches in my room that were coming up underneath the floorboards where you could see literal evidence of the ownership cutting corners when trying to update the rooms. I saw lots of small dead roaches and a few live ones crawling up between the gaps that were left through the corner cutting. I've attached photos. Due to this alone, I would not recommend staying at this Best Western unless the management takes their business a bit more seriously instead of doing the bare minimum. The ownership has done a disservices to the guests, the staff, and the brand, but trying to be cheap.||My one positive comment is that the front desk managers have alway been really nice and friendly each time I've spent the night...
