I'm giving 2 stars only because of the helpful staff when we got back from our week long trip. If I based this review solely on the experience we had when dropping of the car before the trip, I would rate this place as low as possible; a 0 if I were able. Upon first impression it was a bit odd. It's a cheap motel near the airport; it's not exactly what you would expect from a place that is going to park your car for a long period of time. For starters, there was hardly any space for parking. My first wonder was how can they accommodate numerous travelers both parking and staying in the roadside motel. It turns out they take your key and move the car while you are away and move it back when you return. Now... getting back the staff working was very friendly and helpful, explaining everything we needed to do and it was a painless process. If the entire experience was like this, I would absolutely recommend this place despite its shady appearance; however, I simply cannot recommend this place. I cannot willingly recommend someone use a service in which the staff is so drastically different from day to night. We dropped off the car at around 5 am on a Tuesday morning, and the man working behind the counter was extremely rude. He made it seem like we were wasting his time trying to use this parking service. When we first approached the service window (they lock they the office at night; think 24 hour pawn shop), he was in the process of sitting down (again) and looked at us with an expression that said (to me) "please just go away". It did not get better after that. He begrudgingly accepted the paperwork in digital form on our cell phone making sure to note "thats not paper." After this it took him a good ten minutes of messing around on the computer asking dumb questions like do we have a reservation (clearly we did based on the "paperwork" in digital form). Keep in mind that each time he had to come up to the window each time to ask questions he would go sit back down... if I had kept track I would say he went to sit down around 15 times in the 20 minutes we were trying to get "checked in". The attitude of a man who clearly dislikes his job and blames the customer for making him get off his chair and do some work is hard to put into words, but I will not be using this service again because of him. Beyond that, another notable grievance I had with this place is that after we FINALLY got checked in the driver of the panel van "shuttle" disappeared into the office for 10 to 15 minutes making us wait even longer. Again, the day staff on our return trip was easy to work with so it's up to you if you want to use this service. If you take anything away from this please take this advise: if you are taking a red eye flight show up extremely early and be prepared to be frustrated even before the TSA gets ahold of you. Dates of travel for reference: Aug 12, 2014 to...
Read moreI have stayed in this hotel and it's not bad. I have stayed in this hotel more than a week and the hotel does provide a microwave a refrigerator a hot shower and bath and the room is clean, parking is small - so if you have a big van or something like that it is hard to maneuver: just for your information they do have more parking available- lot in the side and where you can park your bigger vehicle in case but talk to the manager of course: They have a weekly rate. Please talk to the front desk about the rate. There is no breakfast and no coffee maker in the room. Television is included and Wi-Fi. The heater standard hotel heater thing :Works very well ;at least in the room I'm in. There is no smoking if you do need to smoke you have to go outside and they do have a smoking area without any covering it all so just be aware of that for any smokers. Nearby there's a Safeway store approximately two blocks to three blocks away you can walk but if you have trouble with your legs and stuff it's a little steep. little steep for going uphill but I did it I have trouble with my legs it took me a while. There is a gas station in the same area as a safe way on course : Also there is a laundromat nearby in the same location area as a Safeway. There is no laundry here at the hotel /motel. Average price you're paying right now is about $44.43 up to 47 dollars a night. Noise - to me it's not that bad but it might concern some people who are sensitive sleepers. The noise concerns are as follows: you do hear airplanes but it is not all the time. Car traffic you can hear also : sometimes you can hear muffled talking from the other room-but it is not the norm: Bed: extremely comfortable firm but soft . Bed coverings are a little worn but acceptable to me of course. but very comfortable. No problems. Overall the hotel is very quiet and peaceful to me of course. No real strange characters hanging around or any drug trafficking or anything like that: Everybody that comes to this hotel stays in the room etc. Food delivery if you don't want to go get it yourself: doordash does deliver. There are restaurants nearby: Chinese restaurant and Mexican food as you're walking towards Safeway of course but I never ate at those restaurants. I really don't know how good they are. I like this place it's close to everything. Value inn is clean and they care about the cleanliness of their rooms. Front desk very friendly there is always somebody there at the window. This is an honest review and I hope this is helps you. Always wherever you're staying and traveling always keep your eyes open and be safe thank you and have a safe and pleasant...
Read moreBEDBUGS HERE!!! Absolutely horrible. On July 18, 2016, we checked in at 6:30pm, then went out for dinner. Upon returning to our room, I noticed a bug crawling on the area where we were hanging our clothes. Then we noticed the same bug crawling on the bedside table. We managed to trap one under a plastic cup to show management. The bugs matched to a tee online photos of a mature bedbug. Around 2:30am, we notified the night clerk of our finding. He didn't seem surprised. We told him we wanted a refund immediately, of course he said we would have to wait until 830am, when the manager would arrive. We slept in our car, at the motel, while some lady from an upstairs room hassled us all night wanting to know our business and claiming she worked there, and that we couldn't stay in the parking lot if we'd checked out. I notified the night clerk of this woman, and he said he'd take care of it. Well, 8:30am arrived and no manager on site. We were told she would be in at 11am. We returned at noon, spoke with a woman named "Trish" who claimed to be the new manager. She heard of our discovery, and told me that there was really nothing they could do to keep the bedbugs from infesting the rooms. She did concede to giving us a refund of $81.76 for our sleepless night, and promised to perform the refund that day. Four days later, 7/22/2016, my bank account STILL shows a charge from Value Inn. So I called and spoke with "Trish" today, who said she had passed the refund task on to her supervisor to complete. That supervisor's name was not given. Irate, I asked her why she had not fulfilled her promised to me. Without answering, she said it was in her supervisor's hands now. She said to call back the same afternoon to follow up and see that the refund had been handled. So, I called back this afternoon, and lo and behold, "Trish" is no longer available; "she had a doctor's appointment". Then why would she tell me to call her back? I have had it with these liars. They are unprofessional, and while I had a nice night sleeping in my car, they received $81.76 of my money. And refuse to refund it in a timely manner, despite their promises. I'm opening a dispute with my...
