H.O.R R.I.B.L.E! I went through the drive thru at this location sometime between 7:50p and 8:11p. It was a little but of a wait, long line but didn't id mind because it was my foster kiddos first time trying Popeyes. The rep asked us what we wanted when we pulled up to the intercom, but we took a minute to go over the menu. She said 'let me know when you're ready'. Pleasant and no problem at this point. We were taking a while. He and I got so caught up in me telling him about what I liked at the restaurant. For whatever reason I spaced. I thought we ordered and pulled forward following the cars in front of me. I eventually realized we didn't give our order but still waited in the line. Figured we can place our order at the window. Aaaah naw! When we get to the window I began to explain to the young lady with black hair, lashes, lighter skin tone and dark eyes what I stupidly did. She snaps at me and asked "why [ I ] just drove off?" I apologized, explained again and asked if she could take my order. She tells me she can't take my order because the car behind me has already placed an order, and her till won't let her. I asked if she could take it at another till she said no because "she didn't want to be here at the end of the night balancing..." I asked for the managers name. She said she was the manager. I then see another young lady walk by with a headset on her head and asked if she could take my order, again she (the supposed manager) says no because that employee was new. I eventually leave after sitting in that long line for no less than 25mins and going back and forth with her about her options wher she could take my order. After I pulled away I called the store asking for the manager's name, she answered and refused. I asked for the GMs name, she said there was no one so I asked to speak with whoever is in charge, who the owners were and their name. She hung up on me. I tried to call back and she hung up...
Read moreWorst management experience, ever. Keep this in mind… I counted no less than 12 employees working on a Saturday… so there is not good excuse that makes this acceptable…
Both drive thru lanes were close so I walked in. I placed my order and waited and waited… I complained that I had been waiting 15 mins for my order and was told they were waiting for chicken nuggets. I then saw the manager go back to the kitchen and get in an argument with an employee about not starting chicken nuggets. After waiting another 5 mins and realizing the other half of my order had been sitting out on the counter this entire time… There was no way I was going to continue to wait for something they should not have run out of, especially not at that time of day, let alone, accept cold food. I left my receipt on the counter and told them it was not worth my time.
The Sr. Management of this store needs to get their act together. I get the point of ‘training’ for a new store but they need ‘trained’ people in the store at all times until ALL staff is up to speed… this is just unacceptable management. Very sad.
NO, I did not ask for a credit for my order… I doubt they would even think about doing so after I left, but that’s not the point… I don’t care about the money, I care about getting a good experience and quality product.
With that, my recommendation to everyone is to WAIT. Give them some time to get trained and/or for them to figure out how to manage their routines. ...
