Fabulous pizza! Never driving back there again. I will wait until there’s delivery. It looks like a cozy little place with a full bar and a decent back bar. The toppings were generous and the crust was crispy/chewy like fresh naan. The order happened SO fast!
Here’s the sad part. It had been sitting there for 5 minutes while I circled the block twice, looking for the 3 “retail parking” spots that are poorly marked, compact car-sized only, and had a confusing sign about the hours retail parking was even allowed. At least the pizza was kept hot until I got there. It was worth the effort at least this once, it was so darn good.
BTW, everyone, the parking spots are BEHIND the building, on the EAST side (uphill) of Pacific Highway / International Blvd. Go into the entrance off S. 220th St. There is nowhere on Pac Hwy to pull over, not even for 60 seconds. There is a tiny driveway in the middle of the block, but I wouldn’t try to slow down for a right turn there because it’s the HOV bus lane. If you miss it, turn right on 216th, then right again on 29th. There’s an entrance from 29th Ave S, although it’s not a straight shot down to the building.
I think this restaurant would be a great place to hang out, if you’re a pedestrian or lived in the apartment complex. But trying to do a takeout pick-up order took me a lot longer than I thought it would. I know that businesses in commercial locations like this are at the mercy of the apartment management company. I used to live in a mixed-use building with apartments over the commercial spaces in the city. It was convenient because it was literally next a light rail station, so you don’t have to cross the street and dodge traffic on one of the busiest streets in south Seattle. Now I know that is child’s play compared to Pac Hwy, state Highway 99, where traffic is going 40-50 mph across 6 lanes of a divided road. The building I lived in was a single, standalone apartment building, not a mega-complex, spanning 2 blocks and 3 tiers on the east side of Highway 99.
I’ll keep an eye out for when delivery becomes available or have someone drop me off at the Burger King parking lot next to it. The pizza is good enough that I’ll pay the extra 20% to have someone bring it to me in a location with...
Read moreWOW. Just wow. This was such an amazing spot to get some dinner and unwind a little after a long day of driving.
It seems that it is family run, which I always love. We spent some time chatting with the woman who created their cocktails and she was so knowledgeable and sweet. I loved my mango mojito!
The food is SO GOOD! There’s a lot of vegetarian options to choose from and some clever and expertly designed dishes. We ordered some plant based buffalo wings and were surprised at how great they were (compared to every other place we have tried them). I used to love buffalo wings when I was a kid so it was awesome to get to enjoy a vegetarian version that was as close as I’ve gotten to the real deal. Our pizza was delicious, it was hard to stop eating it when we got full, it was that good! We got the vegetarian pizza that has arugula, cheese, FULL ROASTED CLOVES OF GARLIC 🤤, etc. and it was magical. All the food was enticingly aromatic and really elevated the experience.
This is one of the best places I’ve eaten, and I’ve eaten pizza many times in Italy. I can’t say anything about the Indian style food because we didn’t end up ordering any, but if this is what their non-specialty stuff is like, I’m sure it’s mind blowing.
I can’t wait...
Read moreTandoori Slice is a hidden gem! The restaurant and bar are small but the seating is very comfortable and is nicely decorated with an international flair. We came for a birthday dinner and chose Tandoori specifically because of the Indian pizzas. We all love Indian food and we were not disappointed in the least. Our group tried four different Indian pizzas and a couple of traditional pizzas. We had the Chicken Tikka Pizza which was my overall favorite. It had Tikka red sauce, ginger garlic, green chili, onion, mushrooms, olives and green peppers. The toppings and spices had a definite Indian taste which was marvelous. We also had the Butter Chicken Pizza. It had butter, red sauce, ginger, green chili, onion, mushrooms, olives, green peppers and a wonderful mix of Indian spices. It was delicious. We also had the Paneer Tikka Pizza. It was spectacular as well using many of the same ingredients along with a traditional nutty cheese. This was great too. We rounded everything out with some tradional meat lovers pizza. The owners and staff were super friendly and accommodating. We loved everything about this place and will...
