POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, RACIST ,MAKES UP RANDOM RULES,ROACHES, RUN !!!!!The woman that runs this gives low end bottom of the barrel motel vibes customer service not days inn . There is a reason it’s so cheap and not many people staying here . Take your money and go to the quality inn . It’s the same price . She will manipulate and threaten to keep your money and inconvenience you . Good luck !!
My 1st day I checked in I met a nice gentleman that checked me in . After that everything went down hill, the following day was a woman that checked me in she had the worst attitude seems racist I believe she’s the owner because there is no other staff and she’s there day n night . So I cancelled my reservation and had my boyfriend reserve it in his name because she was so rude and didn’t want to deal with her . When my boyfriend checked in she said I didn’t cancel mines and said this again and through the room card and debit card at him . Then the next day when he came to pay she said he couldn’t pay that there is random cleaning service. And we didn’t request to have anything cleaned so I was confused when we were only there for 4 consecutive days we still complied and the cleaning lady stated she doesn’t know why she was treating us this way that she didn’t request that for anyone else and apologized for how she was treating us and that that request was unheard of . I’ve never heard of this request before and I’ve been a Wyndham rewards member since 2018 . I have unfortunately been homeless since September and have had many long stays as long as 28 days at different hotels with no issues or attitude let alone a request to go into the room and have all my belongings outside while the room gets serviced that’s typically after checkout she just makes rules as she goes hoping for u to check out and if I wasn’t homeless I would’ve done it the 1st day I spoke to her . I’ve stayed at higher end hotels like the la Quinta inn and was treated better . Anyhow We still complied and we’re polite and agreed to her request and then she changed her mind and said you know this is not a long term stay and I told her my intentions were to only stay til Friday and she said for us to go ahead and get out our belongings within 30 min or she’s gonna call the police and won’t give us our deposit . Mind you we were here since 11/27 to 12/01 . And this was at 11:43 am on Dec 1st a day before my birthday . I told her I have 2 kids can you give me a moment to book a room somewhere else . I told her do you have a heart it was quite an inconvenience to be told at the last minute and she said she didn’t care that she doesn’t have a heart it’s not her problem . This was by far the worst experience in my life . I’ve never had anyone working for a hotel or motel be so rude and I’ve stayed at higher end hotels and still have gotten treated better . I’ve stayed at other days inn locations and this is not the normal customer service standard . Before being homeless I’ve had great experiences at the days inn in West Covina and Fullerton . I would never recommend the days inn city of hope there is a reason why it’s so cheap and hardly any cars staying here , for customer service reasons , also roaches in the room , wifi works when it wants too , no breakfast and her attitude is that of a bi -polar teenager . This place needs new staff or to be shut down there is no reason to treat people so unkind when they’re...
Read moreif I could give a negative review i would give 2! at first look it seems perfect. quite, lots of parking, decent rooms, not too much traffic. One thing i didnt like was that i had to ask for a broom to sweep the floor before settling in or i would get ok my knees and wipe dowm the entire room with pinsol i carried around and baby wipes. it was a good place but when i tell you the big eyes eastern lady, dark hair in a ponytail, around 33-47 years of age that runs the front desk most days, makes every accommodation offered there absolutely obsolete. i had stayed there a couple times on different occasions. The lady in question was never too friendly or enthusiastic which was fine because i didnt go to see her, once we asked about the internet going off and she said to go back to the room and wait until it came back. no timing no nice tone, nothing but one day after a 3 night stay my family and i left, thinking everything was fine. Some time later we came back for a premeditated stay for a long weekend and as soon as I walk in as usual, i greet the lady and she greets me back with a smile. i tell her i booked ahead of time and if she could check me in. She then tells me that she will not be checking me in and i will no longer be allowed to stay at their location. i was in shock, i asked why i wasn't allowed back. She stated that the last time i stayed, which was a 3 night stay, they had one sheet missing and she found the desk had been moved over and put back. I clarified that on the second day of the 3 night stay i gave the sheet to one of the young ladies cleaning the rooms out because my son had thrown up and i didnt want it to stay there and stink up over night. she said i shouldnt have done that and that the furniture, desk and chairs were all there in place and were not to be moved. so I was no longer welcome back. I swear if i could translate the energy this individualwas radiation towards me through writing i would but unfortunately im not a talented writer. it was the most uncomfortable situation and energy to receive from someone that is supposed to generate a sense of welcome, a service worker thay radiates a hospitable, cordial, inviting presence. Good if not Great customer service. Sadly there was an absolute abyss sized lack of sed adjectives at this Days Inn Located in the City Of Hope 1533 E Huntington Drive. I gladly will never set foot there again and will advise anyone that mentions Duarte or The City Of Hope or anything in that direction, to never go there! I would recommend the lovely Motel i had to find last second, because my premeditated long weekend plans had abruptly been changed. It was a blessing in disguise. I no longer was unknowingly providing funding to an establishment with zero empathy or intrest in accommodating their paying clients with even the slightest understanding or lenience. Had ptsd for about 3 weeks just off her energy. how do you get upset that someone in a room for 3 days moved a table while they were trying to connect something into the outlet behind it and then moved it back??? I didnt steal the sheet i gave it to the cleaning lady. it was a living nightmare. i guess its a good stay if you have absolutely the lady mentioned has absolutely no contact, interaction or knowledge...
Read moreWe are new to the area, we came in on business/ work reasons, when we first checked in everything was great, the lady at the front desk in the day is really friendly and helpful, and she remained friendly for the entire stay which was about a month, the room we got was a double bed room and was big and spacious, much larger than most hotel rooms in this area which was nice, in the beginning of the stay housekeeping was amazing, but by the end of the stay started slacking off, we would go a few days straight without service the last week or so, one guy at the front desk at night wasn’t that friendly and would refuse to let us extend our stay while he was on shift and said we could only extend in the morning after 8 and before check out which was hard because the work I was doing in the area required me to be there during those hours or I had to work extremely late at night and was extremely difficult to get up during those hours, luckily the nice lady would let us extend a day or 2 in advance, on the weekends and sometimes during the week the motel would fill up and if your not back in your room early then you can’t find a place to park, that only for worse when they blocked off half of the parking lot for construction, we would have to park in front of the office then would get a call in the morning to come move the car, which while not extremely early was very difficult considering my late night shift the night before, the light sockets in the room where really loose, my phone chargers would keep falling out, maybe one socket in the whole room was ok, chairs in the room are very old and not comfortable, no dresser in the room just a tv stand, dryer does not dry, the place could be very loud at times, some mornings it sound like the housekeepers linen baskets would just slam against our door or wall, and several times laundry piled up in front of out door I guess because we was beside the laundry room, also the shower only has half a glass door that don’t shut, so the floor gets soaked. it sounds like I’ve listed a lot of cons but the motel isn’t really a bad motel just some major inconveniences, it is a budget hotel and is definitely worth the price but some of the issues I mentioned definitely needs to be worked on, would I recommend this motel? Yes! I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Pasadena before this place for a few days and I prefer the rooms at Days Inn much more simply because of how...
