We booked this hotel because it had good ratings in multiple places First the location. It was very close to Santa Fe dam where we needed to be. So very convenient. It was a bit difficult to find because it is offset from the street by 100yds. That has a bonus of being extra quiet but can be hard to find. The area was a tiny bit in the sketchy side but bordered monrovia which was a much nicer City. It’s Duarte is definitely gentrifying. Location 4stars The room itself was completely newly remodeled. Very nice very botique. Sheets were clean, room was clean, bathroom clean. Only negative was very little storage. We had to “live” out of our luggage. Only a tiny 2feet open hanging rack, barely fit for one of us our things . We were three(1king+1queen bed). No desk to work from. I had to go down and sit in lobby to work. It was very good there (except for last evening the female older Asian clerk was very unfriendly). Also one other negative the new rug was off gassing chemicals gave my don and I headache. We had windows opened entire time and doors wide open all the time except when asleep. The service was good (except the one woman). It was very good value for the cost. Breakfast NOT included. A fridge and microwave and coffee maker was there.

This hotel is very nice and aesthetically pleasing. Reception was quick and easy, no fuss at all. Now here’s where it tastes the turn. Bed and pillows are AWFUL. The bed is incredibly stiff and the pillows are way overfilled with what must be some sort of feather. There is no iron and just a coat rack with 5 hangers. The TV cuts out and will not show anything for more than 2 seconds without cutting out, despite being cable. The mini split AC is clearly on its way out and can barely sputter out air after figuring out how to configure the many insufferable buttons. It also turns off on its own, so you wake up at 4 am with a lovely hot and humid temperature. The bathroom may look nice but if you plan on showering or taking a dump, FORGET IT. The lights turn off after 30 seconds and the only way to get them back on from the shower is by opening the shower door and waving your arms, getting water all over the floor. If you have other options, go with the other options.

Located in a great, walkable area central to coffee, food, shopping and local transit. The complex itself is cared for, staff is friendly, pool area is clean and vending machines work! The room looked a little different than photos I had seen online prior to booking but I wasn’t totally off put. Rooms have been renovated so my room had tile floor and new hardware/ paint. It was very clean and comfortable. The walls to the complex as super thin, you can hear neighbors from all sides entering/ exiting rooms, talking, etc. Being on the ground floor you are able to hear people passing/ suitcases rolling late into the night. If you’re looking for a decent, clean, no frills stay in an affordable room in a nice area central to essentials I would recommend Hotel Huntington.

Never Again!!! Hotel Huntington!! ||||We stayed at the Hotel Huntington for over a week, it started out terribly!!! We checked in around 3:30ish, and paid 170 for 3:30-11am. We paid for several days after that at the same time we checked in. We had a cranky old manager who doesn't know how to read or use a computer, he kept knocking on the door even opened the door telling us check out time. We paid in advance!! He said I didn't see it on the computer!! Two days in a row, when I went to the front desk to complain about him and he wanted to argue with me and told me and my family to get out!! Even though we were paid for over a week in advance, I told him that wasn't going to happen without a lawyer getting involved!!! We were asked to move to another room because they were having ant problems, (the ants were all over the bathroom even in the new room they put us in) and the carpet needs to be cleaned, so we said okay to move, but when we did we started having more problems with them, we were getting attitude from the people at the front desk, then they told me that they were not going to allow us to extend our stay. They refused to give us any reason why, we never complained after the confrontation with the manager, we stayed to ourselves. We had minimal contact with the front desk. We did witness the sheriff show up a couple of times trying to kick out people with a pit bull down the hall. ||||Our family needed a clean safe place to stay, we were in the process of moving and didn't need to go through the stress of the hotel giving us a problem after problem. If you don't want to have extra problems with your stay, don't stay at Hotel...

I stayed for 5 nights between Oct 07 and 12. The room was simply shabby. The two key parts of a room was simply “disgusting”.

The bathroom was just not clean. the rolling door of the shower box was covered with dusts from weeks or months of negligence the floor and wall tiles were full of dirt marks and stains. They were also cracking and were crumbling

The bed was so shabby that it should not have been put to use to host guests two of the four pillows were “lumpy”. The foam or feather inside has broken down into lumps and really had a very uncomfortable “hand feel”. Besides, they were smelly. and they were in odd sizes ( the pillow cases were almost 1,5 times larger than the pillows the quilt was not a quilt. It was not even a blanket. It looked as if it were a thin layer of mattress pad wrapped in two layers of soggy bed-sheets.

And as if the room was not disappointing enough, the strange and under-par house-keeping service was the last straw on the camel. night 1, the bed was tidied and made up and all towels changed -night 2, the bed was tidied and made up; new towels on the racks but used towels left next to the wash basin and used floor towel left wet on the floor night 3, new set of towel in place but the bed was not tidied and left messy as it was in the morning. night 4, “Please Clean Room” door slab was hanged outside of door, the room ended up completely untouched. night 5, God grace,...
