Any karaage fans out there? You won't be disappointed with Umebana's plate. I went with a friend and we were both pleasantly surprised by the flavor, quality, and generosity of portion here. I normally lunch at Janet's Mediterranean at this location, but I have always wanted to try Umebana. I had that chance today, and after enjoying the food, I can wholeheartedly recommend them. Karaage is a type of fried chicken, Japanese style. They are served in bite-size pieces, which have a great outside crunch with a juicy meatiness inside. The seasoning was on point! I ordered Salmon sashimi 4stars Chicken Teriyaki bento -chicken teriyaki was disappointing. Chicken grilled was nice but sauce was very blah sugared soy 3.5 stars -salad was ok dressing was sesame ginger soy. Not very memorable. Just so so 3 stars -California took was delish. Creamy imitation crab with avocado. Very delish 4.5 stars -miso a bit watered down 3.5 stars -tempura was excellent. Crispy crispy even for take out and hot! Not salted enough need yo eat with dip 4.5stars

I love the food here they have a great chicken teriyaki bowl and California rolls but I had a bad experience the other day. I went in to place a to go order but they had a new host who for some reason just kept ignoring me and helping other customers. I was standing there for awhile and he just kept going helping everyone else. Even the sushi chef making the sushi was looking at him and me and talking to him telling him to help me but still he kept going to everyone else.
