The craziest experience ever with corporate predatory pricing tactics and rude unprofessional customer service. If you accustomed to standard customer service you get in America and get what you prepay for with no 30-35% hidden fees at the check in, this is not a hotel or rather a motel for you. They have some fees I wasn't even be explained besides "their system tells them I still owe them and daily rate isn't what listed online". If you try to reason witu them and show contract, they will raise they voice and talk over you. If you won't want to pay the hidden fee and try to leave, you will be informed arrogantly you will be charged for the stay anyway, while being judged for my surprised unhappiness. If you stay and complain at something like inability to get to the room or lock yourself in, you may be even called a racist by their manager in front of other guests or your in my case 5 year old daughter, like color of his skin and his ethnicity had anything to do with it. The second guy I tried to get help from was somewhat professional the way he communicated but the next day the lady working at front desk topped the bad experience even more when I was asking for fresh towels and WiFi password she didn't want give me for 5 days stay and was really rude because of the experience with "her brothers who owe the hotel" yesterday over the phone and hung up. After that walked by my room and yelled at me in front of my daughter and other guests whom I was asking for wifi password, while apparently looking for the password in the housekeeper cart she couldn't find and walked away while mouthing off that she doesn't need to give it to me. I just pointed out to my daughter that we don't act like this and that she must be sick, for that I was threaten with being kicked out by police. The housekeeper was very nice and professional and gave me the wifi password, no towels unfortunately. Honesly I was just happy the trip ended with out any other worse incidents and my car being scratched. This a motel not a hotel and photos don't look anything like their "premium" room I paid extra for and then was told they all the same... u may also find mold in...
Read moreWe had the same issue some of the other customers had. We went, the places was not well lit, and looked run down. Checked in and got the key, hoping the rooms would be decent. We got the room, lights didn't work, it had a random switch that we later found out was tapped on to the wall and didn't do anything. The room had 2 lamps, One with a lamp shade that didn't work, and one stand up lamp, with no lamp shade that was the only light that was there to light up the room. The place was cleaned with bleach, there is no way it wasn't as thats the only thing you could smell. Wall outlets and the bathroom light switch didn't have covers. The caulking in the restroom for the toilet and the bathtub were a dirty green black aswell. So we got in the room, looked around, maybe we're there for 1 to 3 min, went to the desk because they close the lobby at 11pm. Told them we won't be staying there and the guy at the desk gave us a number to call. We got there around 10:15, and left by 10:25. So we call to try and get a refund and OYO said they called the front desk and that we stayed the entire night. I have the receipt of the Hampton Inn and suites that is 9 min down the road. It says the time we checked in and out from that hotel and OYO said because the front desk said we checked in and stayed the whole night we won't get a refund. I'm not mad about losing $85 dollars. It's more of the principle, why would I lie about staying the night. I even have the receipt of the stay in Hampton Inn and suites, which for $40 more u get cleaner rooms, free breakfast, a pool that is clean, workout room, and someone who stays at the lobby or front desk the entire night. Horrible experience. I don't know if all OYO hotels are like this, but this is the first and last time I will even look at OYO as an option. Context, im 24, I have lived with roommates who are not the cleanest, and i have stayed in places that are similar. The Motel vibe, that type of place. This is by far the worst experience I...
Read moreSo, I just called about 30 minutes ago to make a reservation. I asked if it was ok to bring a technically Emotion Support Animal. (fully Registered Emotional Support Animal but person that ESA is for is not coming with. ESA is for our son and our son is going to be staying home with another family member for school.) I asked quite a few questions but the ESA question is the most pertinent and that I asked about weekly rate. (which they said I was getting a weekly rate but i wasnt.) I cant remember how many hundred times the reservation employee said dont worry about it. They wouldnt let me talk to their manager (to confirm we could bring our sons ESA with us) and just kept saying the call is being monitored and recorded and its been documented that you will be allowed to bring the animal for an additional $35 flat fee. I made the reservation and immediately called building manager as instructed. and explained the situation. "Since your son will not be with you and the ESA is registered to him, he would be classified as a pet. (this is 100% accurate i checked with the lawyer we have for this exact matter) I told the building manager that we will be canceling our reservation immediately and hung up. redialed for cancelation. I waited for the person to get on the phone. (he was talking to his coworkers for about 5-10 seconds before answering "hello" Yes Id like to cancel my reservation. "why do you want to cancel your reservation" I was told by the building l couldnt bring what he classified as a pet. Can I please cancel my reservation. "the person you spoke to said that it was fine. " I talked to the building manager myself and because the person that the animal is registered for will not be with us, he is classified as a pet. (again 100% true) So can I please cancel my reservation. this went on for about another 5 rounds until i was put on hold, for a minute or two. and they cancelled my reservation. VERY unprofessional. WILL NOT BE STAYING HERE AND I SUGGEST NO...
