Service was horrific I came to this restaurant for breakfast because my husband was hungry. I decided to order a two egg meal from the kids section on the menu because I wasn't hungry and didn't want to order an adult meal and waist food that I won't eat. I didn't want to take any leftover with me either. I don't believe in wasting food. The waitress refuses to take my order and a man approached my husband and I saying he was the owner and refuses to allow me to order anything from the kids section of the menu because I was over 12yrs old. I explained to him that I ordered here before and had gotten served before the same order. I also stated that if someone ordered food from the kids menu for pickup they don't discriminate the order and refuse the order for pickup because they don't ask telephone pick up orders the ages of the persons who they are ordering food for. They just take the order and someone comes and pays and pick up. The man stating he was the owner was rude and asked us to leave or he would call the police and have us escorted if we dont leave because I asked questions. He did not care to serve us. My husband and I was treated like garbage and was not allowed to place any order for food. Not even for him. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. It was not about the price of the food because we can afford anything from the menue and we always tip well. It was about the lack of accommodation and respect.
We received no respect and any restaurant that refuses to serve food to anyone who is a paying good customer will only continue to have a bad reputation. It was not at all about the cost of the food. If something that made sense was explained as to the reason why they refuses to take my order I am very open minded and understanding and would have accepted some kind of feasible explanation. I believe that anyone should be able to order order what they want at a restaurant if it'd available there should not be any age, race or gender discrimination. This was very sad to learn...

To say this never happened is just another example of how you treat your customers. This did happen and instead of correcting the problem you choose to either put your head in the sand about it or flat out lie. If you'd like, I'd be happy to come in and point out not only the waitress serving us, but the lady behind the counter who made the comment.

I was just in there this morning and ordered a side of grits. I had no idea your grits were made with milk. I took one bite and it tasted like a bowl of milk. I politely told the waitress that I didn't want them and apologized for ordering them because had I known they were made with milk I wouldn't have. The waitress went to the register to get the lady behind it to take them off the bill at which time that lady said, and I quote, "We can't lose money over the opinion of others." She said it loud enough for me and my sister and the rest of the restaurant to hear.
Now I'm no genius, but I'm pretty sure the 30 to 50 cents it cost them to take those grits off the bill, is nothing in comparison to me never returning there and spending another dime. I hope whomever owns this establishment takes a hard look at how you're doing business there and the customer service you aren't providing.
Please think hard before...
Read moreFirst visit to Dundee Diner for lunch/breakfast. Since it was Sunday around 12:30 we were with the after church crowd but our wait time was only about 15-20 min. The diner is a pretty good size with more than 20 tables. We ordered Hickory burger with bacon, American cheese and bbq sauce served with fries and Cole slaw and we ordered the Dundee Skillet which featured scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage gravy, cheese and toast. We also ordered a biscuit. The service is attentive and today Kelly was our server. The burger was a big burger and by itself, was not flavorful at all. I’m not sure that they used any seasoning. The consistency of the meat patty was thick and medium packed which was perfect. I added Mayo and a little of the bbq sauce. The fries were not served hot and they were shoe string style, which are not my favorite. I did not eat half of the fries. The Cole slaw is minced nicely and had a nice very light flavor. It could use a little more flavor but it’s still tasty. The Dundee Skillet is a sizeable dish and it was tasty. The biscuit is really good, crisp and buttery on the outside and soft and...
