Our group of 4 adults stayed in Cabin 6 for our Rainbow River vacation. We loved this place. The cabin was so comfortable and roomy. Loved having the screen porch facing the woods. The early morning frog and animal sounds are something else. We walked a lot, exploring the different trails and boardwalks out to the water (even at night; so cool). We were told that people swim at the kayak launch site on the Rainbow River (off of the bike trail). We did see some teenagers that had floated down to that site and gotten out there. Every day that we were there we saw a gator in that area. Definitely would not swim near all that grass with no visible way to see them underwater. But, they made it. The grounds and swimming pool were always clean and we absolutely love Kim (the only staff person we saw during our 4 days we were there except the maintenance man we saw at the pool; very nice man). Kim is so personable and kind. Always ready to give a helping hand if needed. She really hustles with the business of getting those cabins ready quick. I hope she is around for years to come. We were happy to leave a tip for her. Before our visit, every time I called I got a nice person on the phone. I can't say one single negative thing about our experience. Priced right and lots of fun. Oh, we saw a pig, several deer and a turkey on the dirt road coming in. lol Thank you for the experience.

We been trying to book a cabin its always sold out.first we got a villa had to cancel. Called we finally got a cabin. Upon checking in we didn't know it was not the office were we check in.the lady at the office was short told us to go directly. We were relieved not to have stayed at the villa.the villa is in a rundown area where the office is.arrived at the cabin we had no idea where to park .here is a tip that no one told us park close because you will need a cart to carry stuff.we didn't know we carried everything without cart.the cabin had no key had to figure out how to get one. There is a charge for everything so buy disposable plates and silverware, cups.a vaccum and a swifter is needed .the cabin was clean. The shower had great pressure. A club house keeps the kids entertained. There is a pool.lots of room to hike in peace.market and restaurant close by.beds need more pillows. Wanted to stay extra but the same unfriendly lady said that they were sold out .will try to come again. Hopefully they fix up the villa update them so people can stay there too.they need a friendlier person reservations.

Man o'man... this place is packed with excitement and fun. Went with the family of four. Two girls and my wife and I. So many near by trails for biking(paved), for kids, adults, scooters roller blades, skateboards, and trail walking. This spot is located where the Withlahootchie meets the rainbow. Awesome fishing in the near by ponds. Only 10-12 cabins in the woods. Locals Advice is don't go with the marina cabins on the river by marina, not as comfy unless they put some $$$ into them but rest assured the cabins in the woods are awesome. Not a five star expectation but foe what they are and where it is its perfect. If this review helped you in any way please thumbs me up.👍🏼😉 Look forward to reviewing more along my life's adventure, Peace and many blessings.

During the middle of an exceptionally cold mountain winter in the Carolinas, we decided to go find some fun in the Florida sunshine and discovered an AWESOME little place called The Rainbow Rivers Club in Dunnellon, Florida! The accommodations are cozy, clean, comfortable, and the décor is kitschy fun and very functional, with a full (pretty well appointed) kitchen and full sized refrigerator. The screened-in porch was a favorite hangout spot during our winter trip and from our porch we could see the end of the rainbow! A nice dock gave a great overview of the wilderness around us . We were excited that the Rainbow Rivers Club offered pontoon boats from the private dock, and we enjoyed a day on the Rainbow River on a boat. We packed lunch and snacks (in non-disposable containers – it’s the law and it keeps the river exceptionally clean and beautiful) and had a full day of boating and swimming in the spectacularly clear water. We saw a lot of fun wildlife such as otters, all kinds of birds, and a lot of fish! We noticed several scuba diving tours, and decided that our next visit might have to have one of those, too. We enjoyed dining at a local restaurant with good seafood that was only a short walk from our front door, which meant we could all imbibe a bit and relax without worrying about driving. Because our trip was in the “off season” for this place (though, honestly, it’s an amazing time of year to be there because it was warm, but not hot, and thriving, but not over-run with people), the proprietors were available to tell us about the area and suggest activities for our group, not to mention they’re just a delightful family and knowledgeable about both the Rainbow River and the nearby Silver River. This trip was with a group of friends, but after our experience, I’m excited about planning a trip for my family with the kids who love water sports. We will definitely return! Thank you for a fun and relaxing vacation, Rainbow...
