The short, bald gentleman working today exhibited notably poor customer service. He was unfriendly and spoke to customers in a pushy, disrespectful manner. I instantly felt discriminated against. Typically, I tend to overlook such matters, as my family is diverse, but this experience was concerning enough to warrant a comment.
I brought the following items for pawning: PS5, along with 7 games, a monitor, keyboard, mouse, and PlayStation camera HiSense 4K TV (unboxed) 3100 PSI pressure washer (unboxed) DJI Mavic Mini 3
My issue was that I had no identification because my license was suspended and confiscated by law enforcement. I was trying to earn some money to get a replacement.
I explained my situation to the blonde lady, who then informed the bald gentleman. He stated that he couldn’t assist me unless I was in the system.
I informed him that I had been in the system for over six years, regularly purchasing and pawning items. He responded that he didn’t know me and there was nothing he could do. Throughout our interaction, he wouldn’t even look at me, almost as if he was disgusted.
The lady, seemingly annoyed with his lack of effort, asked for my first and last name along with my date of birth. It appeared that, if it were up to him, he wouldn’t have even bothered to search for me in the system. She confirmed that I had indeed been in the system for six years. Despite this, the gentleman reiterated that he didn’t know me and couldn’t assist.
His customer service led me to decide to take my business elsewhere. After dealing with him, I didn’t even want to sell anything there, even if they had eventually agreed to help.
Earlier, he had told me that if I was in the system, it would be sufficient. Naturally, he doesn't know me as I typically deal with the owner, not the employees. I've been a customer since before he was hired.
As I was leaving the store, the lady apologized repeatedly for not being able to help. I assured her it was okay and understood that she wanted to assist, despite her colleague's racist behavior.
I had been previously warned about this gentleman's pretentious attitude. However, I overlooked it because I have dealt with the owner in the past. Six years ago, I even left a 5-star review on Google, I never care to leave bad reviews unless it’s really bothering.
Please explain to me why there’s numerous of comments of people complaining about feeling discriminated, this is a PAWN SHOP!

I was more than satisfied with the price offered, I would actually recommend this facility if you're looking for a good price and an a potentially unpleasant shopping experience. And the item removed from the counter was some kind of baked dish Im assumming a nice customer brought in for y'all and you didnt want me getting near it hahaha. Take care now
Very disappointed, visited the store to have my American silver Eagles appraised and every employee stared at me as I walked in. Shrugged it off, but as I'm talking with the clerk another employee walks over and starts removing items from the desk that happen to be right in front of me. Then someone lets a dog into the room that immedietly starts barking at me, unpleasant and unprofessional exerience all around.
I'd appreciate it if managment actually considers why they recieved a poor rating today and perhaps use this as an opportunity to improve their customer relations and review their ethics. I know it can't just be me who felt discriminated against while visiting this location, I'm a very forgiving and easygoing person but in no way does a person deserve to be treated differently than anyone else.
Anything short of a positive, articulate response from managment and I'd find it rather difficult to frequent this establishment again and gladly take my business to Ocala. Customer beware and...
