Where do I start.. I am thankful we arrived during the week. Because if I had arrived on a Friday, we wouldn't have been able to stay here due to my credit/debit card. Which the bank fixed. I booked/reserved months out(just to be clear)with the same card. I don't like credit cards. I would rather pay cash and be done.
Anywhoo... lesson learned and very scary. I highly recommend credit cards to stay here. We arrived during the night as well... flight landed after 6p. Thank God for my travel buddy, but when they recharged her again, she could have unalived me. I don't blame her. 🫣🥴
The hotel is a very clean, beautiful fragrance when entering the building. Friendly customer service, but lacks communication with one another. Which is very important at the front desk. Grounds Staff is nice, but don't speak english well, accept for the front desk they do.
It is a pet-friendly hotel. But I must say they are very clean with how they manage pets and who brings pets. Oh, and the kids running in the hallway upstairs is LOUD, and you hear every stump, and jumping jack🥴.
We noticed that their lobby restaurant is a hit for the locals as well. Being they were pretty busy during the evening dining. Reservations were required. Food was delicious(per your likes), but not every night. The breakfast menu is again OK, but not every morning. There are no oatmeal bowls or grit bowls if you're looking for warming foods for outside in the snow weather. It would be nice if they had a switch up or a featured meal every other day. We stayed there 4 nights. *Just a suggestion. The breakfast sausage is a link, not patty, and not tasty at all... sorry. I'll post what I had. Potatoes are good, tiny peppers good..not hot, yet sweet.
As far as cleaning the rooms during our stay. It depends on who you get. One lady cleaned well, and the other didn't. Missing the trash, not mopping the bathroom floor, or leaving an extra roll toilet paper, we ran out.
We checked out at 4am, our flight was at 7am. We rented a suv from the airport. That didn't have an issue with my credit/debit card. For our entire stay. Highly recommend.
Overall, I would consider staying here again... They ended up recharging my friend again(my God). Which was embarrassing , which we had cleared up. So check your statements. They ended up charging the right card 3.00 for what? I have no idea, but that's proof they had the right credit card on file. I ended up just zelled my friend her money back because I got tired of going back and forth. We never received a call back regarding the checkout situation. I guess they didn't care as long as they got their money. 1st time I've ever had this happen to me. But a lesson learned.
Oh, and the whole breakfast voucher is $20.00 credit per person. They prefer it to be charged to the room and not paid by cash. 1st 2 bottles of water are free in the room. Additional are $3.00 a bottle. We just purchased more at Whole Foods. Check the coffee machine before using it in the room. Ours was dirty. I just left it and purchased it out.
My 1st time to Colorado sights were amazing RENT a 4wd suv(drive safely). Rfta bus runs close to the hotel. You can use that to get around. They have an app. But tugging luggage and in the cold I don't recommend. Especially if you have yo catch a flight out early. But the stops are close to the hotel. The hotel is centered in a busy commercial area, and Wholefoods and City Market is across the street. Check my other review for our dining out experience in El Jebel.

From the moment we arrived until our departure, every facet of our experience was executed with seamless precision and warmth.
Exemplary Service: We were graciously received by Janica, whose cordial demeanor and meticulous attention to detail set the tone for our visit. She provided a comprehensive orientation of the property, including the elevators, fitness center, dining establishments, and their respective operating hours. Our Diamond status was warmly acknowledged, When minor inconveniences arose, both Janica and Ken demonstrated remarkable professionalism, resolving issues with alacrity and discretion. Janica, in particular, distinguished herself through her unwavering dedication—her efforts were nothing less than superlative.
Culinary Excellence & Amenities: The Hoffmann House Restaurant surpassed expectations, offering a delectable array of health-conscious options for breakfast and dinner. The alfresco dining area, with its panoramic views of the lake and surrounding mountains, provided an idyllic setting for our meals. The hotel’s pet-friendly policy was a commendable feature, complemented by a thoughtfully designated pet area adjacent to the tranquil private lake—perfect for leisurely strolls along its well-maintained trail.
Accommodations & Comfort: Though modest in size, our accommodations were a paragon of modern elegance, immaculately maintained and equipped with contemporary conveniences. The plush bedding, balcony with partial vistas of the mountains and pool, and the invigorating shower—boasting exceptional water pressure—were highlights. The inclusion of USB-A and Type-C charging ports at the bedside was a testament to the hotel’s forward-thinking design. Housekeeping services were executed with impeccable precision, attending to our requests with unobtrusive efficiency.
Constructive Recommendations: While our stay was overwhelmingly positive, a few refinements could further elevate the guest experience:
In-Room Dining: The introduction of room service would afford guests an added layer of convenience.
Elite Recognition: Reserved parking for Diamond members would underscore the hotel’s appreciation for loyal clientele.
Enhanced Accessibility: A more conspicuous entrance would facilitate effortless navigation for first-time visitors.
Mitigating Disruptions: Given the adjacent construction, rerouting heavy vehicles away from pedestrian thoroughfares would enhance safety and tranquility.
Coffee Apparatus: Upgrading from Cuisinart to Nespresso or Keurig machines would cater to discerning palates.
Extended Service Hours: Prolonging weekend operating hours for the restaurant and bar would better accommodate guests’ leisure schedules.
Shower Safety: Incorporating an anti-skid surface would mitigate slip hazards without compromising aesthetics.
Notwithstanding these minor suggestions, our stay was nothing less than superlative. The Hoffmann Hotel has unequivocally earned our patronage, and we eagerly anticipate future visits. Our deepest gratitude extends to the entire staff—most notably Janica—for orchestrating an experience that was as refined as it was...
Read moreUpdate: Upon checkout the front desk staff had read this review already and she got fairy defensive. She also tried to claim that I only paid $380 for my room, which was absolutely not the truth. I've attached the picture for what I paid when I booked it as well. Pretty unprofessional in my opinion to confront a guest on their review rather than just saying I'm sorry we didn't meet your expectations.
For $460 for one night this hotel is SEVERELY lacking!
The hotel lobby is very nice and gives the appearance that it is worth the price tag, but unfortunately that's about the only thing.
The rooms, although nice are very small. Pretty much just a bed, dresser/TV and bathroom with just a shower.
There was a balcony on the room, but as others have mentioned there were no chairs to sit on and it was a very small balcony anyway that overlooked a ton of construction. The construction was our "Mountain" view.
In the room itself they have 2 bottles of water that have a $3 price tag on them when we all know they cost about 50 cents, so don't drink the waters. Unless of course your a diamond member, then you can get the water for free lmao.
The fitness/spa area is also very small. There is no pool and the "hot tub" is smaller than the one I have at home. It barely fits 2 people comfortably and it faces the front entrance to the hotel and the parking lot, which means everyone coming into the hotel can see you in the hot tub. As you can imagine it's not a very relaxing or private experience.
The "restaurant" in the hotel is not worth the price tag either. My husband and I had breakfast and coffee there. They had options of lattes, and cappuccinos, but they had no flavor options whatsoever for these or for the coffee. So if you ordered one of those it would just be plain black coffee latte. Like what in the world??
The service was also not great. It was slow and they brought my husbands food out several minutes before I got mine. He was halfway through eating his food before I got mine.
The front desk staff were fairly cold and Un inviting as well. When I was checking in, there were 2 other pilots checking in next to me, and the person helping me check in, stopped to help get the pilots checked in, giving them complimentary vouchers for the bar and breakfast. I honestly thought that was something they did for all guests, but when she came back to help me, she just said "here's your key your on the 3rd floor."
Obviously big difference in treatment based on who you are. Granted I'm not a pilot, but I actually had to pay for my room on my own, and I guarantee the pilots had their rooms paid for by the airline, and are clearly given better treatment by the staff than other guests.
Overall it was just not a great experience for the costs. I stay at Hilton hotels all over the place, and are always impressed with their hotels. This is one of the first I have stayed in where I was HIGHLY disappointed.
I have attached pictures to my review for everyone to get an idea of the REAL experience. The pictures online of the hotel give it a fake idea of what it is...
