My husband and I went there last week. He had the pork schnitzel and I had the scallops and pork. The schnitzel was so dry and hard. The scallops were ok but the pork was dripping with grease. After we paid the bill the manager came over asked how we liked our meal. We told him and he said we should have mentioned it before paying the bill. My husband said no we wanted to pay and that's why we mentioned it now. He said he would relay it to the chef and thanks for the feedback. We went in again last night and had something different. It was ok . This is the crazy part. My husband was sitting away from the bar looking out the window and the manager( I hope an owner would never treat anyone so badly) came up behind my husband and told him he had no idea what he was talking about and the schnitzel was just how it should be. He said the chef even looked it up on the internet. What !!!! He was so confrontational I was in complete awe. Was this really happening?? We were just sitting there. I told him we were willing to give it another try and we were back and what was his problem? He got in my husbands face and was threatening him over the correctness of the schnitzel This was the wildest experience I have ever had. So if you don't like the food just don't go back because you could be risking your life...

The brewery restaurant has a modern-rustic feel. The Expresso Martini was well blended. The Festbeer was great and I thought would be my highlight of the night. Then my Waygu Hangar Steak Au Poivre meal arrived (mashed potatoes with broccolini in excellent Au Poivre gravy). Truly the best steak I have ever had. I travel for work and they pay for my dinners, I eat at “steakhouses” often. At $32 this is a steal. I understand this is expensive for Brewery food, but absolutely worth every penny. I have eaten Waygu at very expensive Japanese restaurants, with the meal approaching 7 times the price and this was significantly better. I had to tell the server of my experience and the chef himself came out to thank me for my rave review. I will skip the opportunity to find another great eatery tomorrow night and return for the best steak I have ever had. Even if you don’t like beer, come for this amazing steak dinner. My medium rare was cooked...

Bougie downtown Basalt Brewery. A little pretentious if you don't know the wait/bar staff, seemed very local oriented. Food was pretty good, my husband enjoyed the chicken tinga tacos, and I had the portobello pita. The pita was okay, a lot of tzatziki sauce, a lot of black olives, not many mushrooms, it was very heavy, and greasy. Not a light meal at all, I was holding it, squeezing the grease from it. A little too much for me. The truffle potatoes were excellent, but fried. A better suggestion as a condiment, I used blue cheese dressing to dip them in, instead of ketchup. I unfortunately wasn't a big fan of their brews and ended up with a canned cider instead. They should offer kombucha, sours, or ciders on tap. Extensive menu and on the lighter side big portioned dinner salads I saw on other tables too. A lot of merch for sale also. Overall,...

I've read google reviews every now and then for a few years, never once have I been moved to write one. Here's the first. I was absolutely floored by the drinks and grub at CCB. Had a sample or two of their diverse brew options (not just flooded with all IPA taps), but the Manhattan sold me on their cocktail list. Solid as they come. These guys and gals don't just do the typical fried bar/brewery food-- their kitchen menu is refreshingly robust with a bunch of flavor! From curries, to traditional handheld favorites with a flare, and entrees like the CO strip loin I pleasantly devoured. Thought I was gonna grab a flight and some fries when I walked in, maybe next time. Snagged some crowlers to go. Service was friendly, welcoming, and punctual. New to the valley and forsureee I'll be back.

Enjoyed our experience at Capitol Creek brewing. Located in a busy, mixed use plaza right across the street from our hotel for the night. There were several CC brews on tap, and they had at least one tap from Aspen brewing. The beers were good, fresh, and tasty, and the food was even better. I had the Summer Salad ($17), and hubby had the carnitas tacos, which were great (and also on the HH menu for $10.50). The service was adequate, but not the friendliest. Got the impression most of them did not want to be there. Note, they add a 2% "Kitchen Appreciation " fee to the total check. (Fine with that, but we did buy a $33 t-shirt 😳) so don't appreciate paying that on my merch. Would definitely stop here again while on the way to/from Aspen.

Fantastic stouts, I had the aged midnight run, double barrel, aged imperial stout…loved it! Taking home Barrel aged double absence…loved it! If you like the high ABV, both of these were 15 and 16% alcohol and the happy hour free shot that came with the first one was nice. Had a Screwball peanut butter whiskey (and I don’t like Peanut Butter) that was fantastic! My smashed burger and green chili stew were great also. The bartender, Matt, informative and honest, (there was something he had not tried, so he didn’t try to sell it to me, he said he had not tried it) atmosphere was great and kid friendly. Lots of TV’s and friendly staff.
