When I first moved to Willets Town Center, the first thing I noticed was the massive line waiting to dine at El Korita. People were eating on the patio laughing and talking. The stars came out and the conversations continued. What was so magical about this place????? First, the people. It took Comcast 2 days to show up to set up my Internet connection. The chef at El Korita offered to let me use their connection since I lived around the corner. Who does that? And then there's the food. You get a lot of food for very reasonable prices. The refried beans. Who waxes poetic about refried beans??? Me! I recommend ordering any specials they offer. I am not a chile rellono person. But a giant chile pepper that was delicately fried showed up on my specials plate and wow! The only fail was the quail. When I lived in Texas, I had a German short-haired pointer. Quail hunter friends would take my dog hunting and they shower me with field-dressed quail. The chefs fried the delicate bird perfectly. But the obviously don't make the dish that often because the sweet meat was way over cooked. The dogs loved it, though! There is no lunch menu. The restaurant serves its food all day long. I love sitting on the patio. It's a happenin' block. The patio has privacy from the sidewalk. It's just a great spot. There is a ton of parking in front of the restaurant and across the street. The "funnest" part of the restaurant is its windows. The owner has found a talented local artist who paints the windows every couple of weeks. I always walk by to see what's on the glass next. I feel fortunate such a wonderful eatery is around the corner from me!

My family arrived in town very late and hungry and was just looking for anything that was still open. This was one of the only places open and I thought it might be good or it might be terrible. It was a pleasant surprise. I truly think this might be the best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever visited. Everyone was attentive and friendly. We were checked on many times by the staff. But of course the food is what is most important. Everything was so well-prepared and delicious. I ordered the grilled quail. My wife had the seafood soup. My son had the steak, and my daughter had carnitas. We all share each other’s food and everyone was impressed. The quail was perfectly grilled, crispy, and delicious. The steak was tender and had great flavor. The seafood soup was simply amazing. Lots of fish and crab and other seafood. The carnitas were good, but not as amazing as the other dishes. The chips and salsa were also very good. I also think that the rice and beans are a marker of a good Mexican restaurant. Too often they are an afterthought and just tossed from a can onto a plate. However these rice and beans were some of the best I’ve ever had. Seriously everything was so good I want to go back for more.

I frequent the Willits Town Center in Basalt, Colorado, but on July 4th, I visited El Korita for the very first time. Parking is free and plentiful; El Korita is located near the Starbucks and on a "restaurant row" alongside dining establishments Ocean and K'Gen. The outdoor patio at El Korita is a popular spot for margaritas and Mexican food. The patio and the inside dining room were packed, but we were immediately seated at table for two outside, and one of the many friendly servers came over to give us bottomless chips and salsa. My brother had a margarita, and I had a Dr. Pepper (you are allowed one refill on soft drinks before being charged). The menu is massive, and specializes in regular Tex-Mex style fare as well as seafood, chicken and steak platters. Service was good; however, like many restaurants around the world these days, it seemed like they struggled at times to keep up with the bustling atmosphere. I can easily forgive this, as the staff was working very hard to keep their customers pleased. Afterwards, we took a stroll and considered dessert options at both, Whole Foods Market and Sundae, which are also located in the Willits Town Center.

Went in on a Tuesday night; have regularly eaten here for years. Since it was busy, sat at bar and ordered 2 tacos and ceviche to go. 40 min later, the man next to me was served an entire carne asada dinner he ordered 10 min after me. Because I dared to ask about my food, I was presented, 50 min after I ordered, a plastic bag that contained a wad of foil open salsa and it’s container all over the foil and inside the bag, and a container of ceviche. I pulled it all out on the bar to clean it before leaving. I asked for a better container and food that wasn’t ruined. I was then handed a paper cup holder to balance my ceviche and waded foil covered in salsa. By this point, I had salsa all over my clothes and was pushed to the front to leave. I stopped and showed the female manager my situation and was then told they should have closed to all to go orders. As I was leaving, I showed everyone waiting in line what I was given, and at least 12 people left with me. I then held off on leaving this review and spent the next three days leaving messages for a manager to call me, and am still waiting the response. This all could be avoided by: 1. Apologizing to me in the restaurant, as it’s obvious the situation they put me in. 2. Having real to go containers, versus foil and plastic bags. In this case, the wad of foil started as fish tacos, but ended as a big salsa soaked ball of food that I couldn’t eat. The ceviche? It has octopus, which when I ordered I disclosed I’m allergic to. Only eat here if you want to spend $30 for nothing, get covered in salsa, have to throw your clothes away, and have no desire for the restaurant, or it’s management care. Mi Casita in Carbondale and Tequilla’s across the street are much...

The food is amazingly delicious but the customer service is horrible, it was one of my favorite place to eat! But unfortunately the service is what made me and my family stop coming. Me on the other hand wanted to give this place a second chance so I came to the restaurant the other day with my husband and one of the servers was a guy ( don’t member his name) we sat down and we looked at the menu , the server didn’t ask us for our drink orders they didn’t even brought chips or salsa but at first we didn’t mind because we assume they were just busy but like I said before they weren’t that many people that day either. 20 minutes pass still haven’t taking our drink order or our orders . There were a lot of employees working that day as well and they would all just look at us but won’t bother coming by not even our server we notice he would sit other people down and take their drink orders right away . Another 20 minutes pass and still nothing so we were on our phones and debating to leave until the guy finally came by our table and I let my husband order first and the guy literally yelled at us if your not ready I can come back ( in a very rude tone) which I don’t understand why he was so rude if they were the ones taking forever to even take our orders but with other people was right away . The waitress was even rolling his eyes at us , that is not okay he shouldn’t be working there honestly , that’s not a good customer service if I did that if I worked there I know I would of been fired . Anyways sadly I would have to look for another place to go , this place isn’t a...
