Last night was our second visit to The Wild Fig Willits. We’re so happy to have this spot close to home, but there are still a few service kinks to work out. The host told us to sit at a high-top but never brought menus and seemed distracted on his phone. Thankfully, our server Suzanna noticed right away. She was friendly, and made great recommendations. We loved the Duck Deviled Eggs once they made it to the right table! The wine selection was fantastic, though the glasses took a bit long to arrive. Read moreMy partner and I dropped in to try the new restaurant in town. The atmosphere is excellent. Restaurant was packed. I ordered the lamb shank which was overcooked, lacking in meat, and simply did not taste wonderful.
My partner had the pasta with clams. The pasta was not al dente. Rather, they were undercooked and hard in the middle.
Our server was polite. It seemed he was very overwhelmed with all of the diners there. I witnessed three other tables having to wave down servers in order to ask for their respective checks. It took about an hour for the main courses to arrive to the table.
