M MOTEL — Hotel in El Monte

DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!!

Wow, where do I begin??!! This weekend was supposed to be a great weekend but by me making the reservation here, made this a terrible weekend for my family and I. This was the only place available for a last minute plans.

When we first got the property, it looked trashy like a men's home, per say. I checked in and front desk man seemed nice checking me in. Left our luggage in the room relaxed for about an hour and left to visit family, came back after a few hours, our room key (card) was scanning but the door was not opening. We tried and tried but seemed like it was stuck. I went back to the office to notify them about the issue, the Asian man scanned the key and said it worked. I went and tried it again but no luck, mind you, our 2 kids are sick waiting in the cold. I went back to the office mad, I told the man that I wanted my money back because I was not going to stay here.

He told me that the key worked and I said no it doesn’t and sent a worker to help with the door. I told him that my kids were sick and he said “it’s only been a few minutes” I told him that I didn’t care, he said “I don’t care either” and that’s when I lost it and I told him “it’s clear that you don’t care” and I stormed out.

My boyfriend had to open the window to get inside the room and open the door because the worker could not fix it. We grabbed our things and left, we were not going to stay after seeing how the man at the front desk did not care.

We have since been trying to call to speak to the manager but either “he’s not here” or “we do not have a manager” are only the responses I get.

When I first looked I needed something affordable and decent. I did not get the chance to check yelp for this place, but we kind of did not have a choice and where else to stay. I highly recommend never staying at this place. You can see pictures on Yelp how the place is trashed and there’s even crack pipe pictures and tagging along with roaches. Glad I didn’t stay, they kept our money because they did not want to refund us. I will fight for my money or maybe they need it more than us.

DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! I wish I could give it negative stars and these people were not in business. Even motel 6 is better than this place. This...

The M stands for Murder... that's what I felt would happen to me if I stayed the night. I drove in from sf and picked this place based on Expedia having them listed. As I parked, in the back, thru the alley, I couldn't help but notice how the parking lot looks like the type of place a body would be found behind the dumpster. That gut feeling alone should've been enough for me.. instead I decided to check in. As I walked into the motel there were a bunch of dudes with what I would call "prison tats" smoking in a line near the back entrance of the property. I walked through the "garden" and the checked in. I figured I'd give the room a chance... as soon as I walked in I sat down and called Expedia and politely told them I wouldn't let my worst enemy stay at this dump and I need a new place. The room had a funky smell, there were what seemed to be dirty hand prints all over stuff. The element of the entire place was just scary. This was the kind of place you'd stay in if you need the room for an hour, if you just got out of prison, or needed a place to stuff a body in a mattress. So I lost one nights worth of my money, but I got a better place and I feel safe and don't feel like I need to buy a gun in order to spend the night where I'm staying now. Stay the hell away...

I wouldnt expect stellar accomidations at the 60 bucks, but this was the bottom of the barrel. The desk clerk made me wait more than 30 minutes while he shuffled the same stack of papers in order to look busy. I had all mlm y booking info open on my phone but he insisted on waiiting for a fax from texas before he would chack me in. When i got to the room all the walls were filthy, one of the pillow cases looked like spmeone left some fresh drool, so who ever that was, i say thank you for the memories... additionally, no toilet paper, no remote for the tv, amd there was a king size mattress om top of a full size bed frame... but wait! Theres more,,, the window curtains were hanging loose at each end, and due to a physical disability i needed to be on the ground level, basically there were people socializing outside my window while i was attempting to rest so privacy, quiet, and sleep are not included in the price. Last thing i will mention is that the wifi never worked, and noone that worked there had any clue what there ownnname was so they were unable to help... i could rant on and on with the little details but i now need to wash the air of the place off of me like yesterday.... be...
