This place has an incredible selection of shoes, which I have to give it credit for. The staff are friendly and helpful. My review has to do with the poor quality of the shoes. I've only purchased shoes on clearance so far for $20-25 each. I understand that these will have cosmetic defects but that the structure of the shoe remains new. Having purchased them, though, I feel could not imaging paying the full $100+ for any of these shoes. The uppers are not leather, the sole is not real suede, and the PU leather/vinyl damages very easily (and irreparably). Yesterday I bought a red pair of shoes with some small chips in the upper, but after taking them home only to try on outfits for an upcoming event, the upper is creasing and flaking off like crazy in areas where there wasn't even any damage. Took them and another pair to a shoe repair store and it cannot be fixed. From another shopping trip, one pair has held up very well, but the other one is flaking like crazy, too. It's hard to predict which will behave this way or not, which is very disappointing. For $25, it's worth taking a chance, but for more serious shoes I will be...
Read moreI went on site with an expired return/exchange from a mail order and I almost walked away sad, but the manager came out to troubleshoot when I asked the floor staff politely. The manager didn't have to help me, but he did and I'm blown away by the kindness. This is my third pair of open-toed ladies' dance shoes from Very Fine Dance Shoes.
I have petite feet and it's not easy to find shoes that fit in the right ways, so if you're like me, don't mail order. Their shoes are great for the dance floor once you find the right fit. Make sure you use gel ball-of-foot cushions to extend the life of your shoes (and your feet!), and they'll last a long time.
Note: They have a very limited selection of stiletto heels. You can get stilettos special order for styles that normally have chunky flare heels, but then you can't try them. I'd definitely have more dance shoes from here if they had stiletto selections of popular...
Read moreI wish I liked this place and the shoes, but unfortunately I don't. I was looking for flats or low heels, and I finally found a pair that looked good and felt the most comfortable out of all the others I tried on. I walked and danced around in them for a few minutes. All the other pairs plus the ones I was just browsing was just terrible quality, and even the fabric on some shoes in their clearance section were falling apart.
Unfortunately after I wore them for a practice session at a studio for an hour, the top of both my 4th toes got scraped pretty badly and they're painful so I have to put Neosporin and Band-Aids on them, in addition to my left heel and left side of my foot. It kind of hurts to even have them covered up and wear regular sneakers. I bought these shoes for $108.90, and for a similar price I think I could have bought a pair of GFranco's, Sway'd, or Burju and not have my feet cut...
