We were on a scenic road trip through America with no real plan but to hit the road and enjoy our time. We booked hotels on the go as to not have to restrict our time. We booked here as we were driving towards the town around 940-945 ish at night. We found the town and the hotel at about 1007 pm. We arrived to a locked door with envelopes on it along with peoples names. There was an emergency number on the door so i phoned it. The person who answered seemed adimate that I was at the wrong hotel but decided she would have to come down there. When she finally arrived she informed me that if she didn't have me in her computer she wasn't giving me a room ( I had already paid priceline and had a conformation email ) this was not a very positive first encounter with this hotel. We travel and take road trips very frequently. This road trip alone we booked 9 nights at 8 different hotels. This was the first time that we have ever encountered something like this. Usually a hotel always has someone at the front desk. Another lady showed up just after the grumpy lady opened the door. She was much friendlier, found our reservation and handed us our keys. I did find it very odd though that I was not even asked for ID. Im the AM upon check out there were a few other girls in the office who were very friendly also. The hotel and room shows age but we were impressed by the cleanliness...

We quickly saw that staff hadn’t changed the sheets, which contained a few hairs with a stain on the fitted sheet. The two trash cans were not emptied. There was no soap or shampoo. The lack of a fridge made the terrible situation complete. We felt we had no recourse to go to another hotel in Ely, a spec of civilization in a middle-of-nowhere region of Nevada, every other motel likely closed. ||||We left the next morning around 6:50, before the office opened at 7:00. Because there was no key drop, I affixed a sticky note tersely bulleting the deficiencies, stuck it to and wrapped it around the keycard, slid the card in its paper holder, and propped it on the metal push/pull bar of the office door. ||||The management never contacted me or offered at least a partial refund. We will never stay here again. Do...
