Economy Drug & Old Fashioned Fountain — Restaurant in Ely

I was so excited to try this place out because the reviews are great, and they boast an old fashioned soda fountain. While the staff was courteous, I couldn't call them friendly. We all ordered the BLT and it was thin microwaved bacon crumbles... not what I was expecting, although the roll it was served on was fantastic. My daughter had a great milkshake, and they were very nice to her, so again, they weren't rude or anything. I asked what kind of sodas they offered because the soda fountain wasn't advertised IN the store, just on the outside, and I was offered the usual Coke products. We were tired and I didn't exactly press the issue, so that's on me, but I'd think a place that advertised an old fashioned soda machine would at least tell you about it. The lady that got my order and made my food was lazy. I went there twice this week and had bad experiences. The first time I went there I waited for almost 2 HOURS.. they had clearly forgotten my order. I had just shrugged it off because the sandwich was okay but the next I went I ordered the same thing as always (extra turkey, light cheese, and a very thin layer of mayonnaise.) the worker put a large crushed up slab of cheese right in the middle of my sandwich and what looked like a whole bottle of mayonnaise. The lady who was serving me was mean. As someone who has anxiety, I have never been so stressed out to order from someone. She was horrible. I honestly must say that I am scared to go back. I brought my two oldest kids here for lunch while in town for the Star Train. We got sandwiches and Lime Rickey's to drink. The sandwiches were fantastic. My daughter said her #8 (Turkey Rock) was the best sub she'd ever eaten. My son got the #4 (Mafia), and I had the #7 (Rancher). After we ate our sandwiches, we ordered ice cream. The server gave my daughter extra ice cream on her cone and make our chocolate malt large enough for me and my son to split. Delicious. Great, friendly service from start to finish.
