Great Store with Awesome Staff! We were driving through on a road trip and needed an air compressor for a slow leak in our tire, and not being from the area, had no clue where to go. After trying to see if their bike shop could help us out, they directed us to Bath Ace Hardware in town who had exactly what we needed. They were so friendly and helpful that we came back to say thank you. I picked up some great socks for steel toes that go to almost your thigh, and my new favorite sunglasses. I have a really big head so they usually don’t fit or hurt my head, or just look funny. And we got a fuzzy sweater for my gf’s mom. The staff was so friendly, I think we talked for nearly a half hour with the cashier just trading stories about Mexico and California, and growing up in the desert. Went in with broken spokes, which they fixed quickly. When I went back the next day because I was having problems with changing gear, the mechanic was dismissive when I said there seemed to be a problem. He changed the indexing and was going to just let me go, but then I test rode it and it was still having problems. He re-indexed but then there was still noise, but he dismissed my concerns saying “all bikes make noise.” Turns out when they disassembled my rear cassette they did not put it back together correctly which caused damage to my bike. Also, at first they told me they could ship a bike for me but only when I brought the bike to them did they say “no we can’t ship bikes because they’re too big.” Would not...

I had a flat tire on my mountain bike rear tire. Went to Sportsworld and they fixed my issue and identified why it got a flat in the first place (second flat tire in a week). Chris showed me the inside ribbon had moved over time and exposed an internal drilled hole in the rim that was rubbing against my tubes and causing these issues. So he replaced the old ribbon with new and in a few minutes I was ready to go. Very professional and a nice variety of bike equipment was in the shop (the rest of the store is nicely laid out and nicely stocked with all kinds of fishing/hunting and other sports related gear.
