I have been wanting to visit this location for a year now. I have heard good things about this place and I can now say I agree! For starters, the food was fresh, their take on a Mexican classic service with traditional foods is not missed. Limon Cocina has focused on their dishes and it shows. Starting at the entry level of freshly made tortillas, to their amazing Blanco Queso with bits of Jalapeños to their generously topped Adada Fries, everything was great! We also got a few orders of Corn- Enchiladas mexican,(chicken) with the Green Verde cream sauce and boy were these delicious. Too often times, I have visited the same old feeling mexican restaurant, watery quesos, bland shredded chicken or appetizers that lack not only flavor but toppings. Fear NOT, You will not find that at Limon Cocina. Some perspective, when I asked my two sons what they would rate the Asada Fries they responded with 8/10. I asked "what could make them better?" Both replied "more fries". I couldn't help but laugh, because that is a great problem to have when the toppings outlast the fries. So the wife and I both rated a 9/10 for the Appatiser. The service was top notch as well. Our waiter was very responsive and filled our drinks often, food service from order to plate was very quick and everything was hot and fresh. We also appreciated the clay wear, the home made appearing plates, cups and bowls that give this place a feeling of tradition. If you find yourself in the area, I highly...
Read moreI will update the service if it gets better. I know this place is new and I’m sure they’re working out some stuff to get it all running smoothly so I’m hoping that’s why. This is my opinion and I’m honestly not trying to be rude. The salsa is disgusting. It is WAY too sweet and has very little veggies in it. The spicy salsa is better, but needs more salt. The stuffed jalapeños are absolutely incredible. Best thing on the menu we’ve tried so far. Every dish we’ve tried has been so good, with the exception of the enchiladas but the reason they weren’t good is because of the red sauce. It looks like tomato sauce and that’s it. There’s no flavor other than sweet. I think the cups they have are cute. But they’re way too small, you have to get refills over and over and the service is slow so that is really annoying. Also there was a chip out of one of our glasses at the top so that’s a hazard. Other than the salsa and the red sauce everything we’ve tried has been so so good!!! I really really hope this place makes it. It’s local to me and I’d like to see it stop changing hands, it seems like this building is always something new. The parking lot sucks but it doesn’t matter that much to me everywhere has bad...
Read moreBy far, my favorite Mexican in town. (And I’ve been to every Mexican place in this town besides one or two food trucks). Where do I start? The owners are awesome. Super kind and helpful. I’ve had servers remember that I like lemon and my wife doesn’t and they bring it exactly the way I want it. Even thought it’s been a month since I last came. The food is amazing. My go to is the street tacos and the shrimp fajitas. I just tried the sparkling blueberry lemonade and it was so good. And the cups are really unique even if you just get a water. Also the chips and salsa are the best in town, very homemade. And their prices are actually really reasonable for the portions the put on your plate. Overall, this is the best Mexican in town. If you haven’t gone yet, you ARE missing out.
Time to try Limon Cocina today, because what do you...
