If you are heading to Estes Park with kids, luggage, and the need for more square footage than a shoebox — this is the spot. We’ve got two little ones, so the extra bedroom was a lifesaver. The service provided here was great and the cleaniness was superb. The gorgeous views of the mountains and Estes Park, in combination with the clean mountain air, were truly impressive attributes of this hotel.
I have to give a high recommendation for the included breakfast: literally, one of the best (included) hotel breakfasts we have had. This was not your usual “sad muffin and mystery cereal” hotel spread. We are talking eggs, potatoes, pancakes, waffles, pastries, yogurt, juices, and — the crown jewel — pork green chili. The overall selection and quality of food was impressive, even satisfying the most discerning palates of my kiddos!
But the real MVP: the breakfast staff. Sylvia (and her male teammate- did not catch his name) were amazing! Courteous, kind, and somehow made hotel dining feel like a fine dining establishment. They even tweaked a dish for my wife’s diet, and kept everything spotless and fully stocked. I have never before seen such attentive service at a hotel breakfast service before, and thus wanted to give our sincere compliments to Sylvia and the other dining staff members! Please give our sincere compliments to Sylvia and the other dining staff members!
We highly recommend this hotel to any families with kiddos who want a great and clean hotel, and who are looking to save a little money (since food prices in Estes Park can be a bit steep) with the convenience of a wonderful, included high-quality breakfast. We hope to...
Read moreThis seemed like a pretty normal motel to me. If it was located in the Midwest, I think the prices would have been 1/4 of what they charged me.
I arrived super late at night after the office staff had left. I called ahead of time to schedule an after hours check in which went smoothly. I'm glad they were flexible and able to allow this option.
The location being in Estes Park and so close to the national park was really convenient. But the parking situation was not good. I had to park behind the hotel but I drove past a sign that said something like "staff parking only." I wasn't sure if parking back there was allowed but I saw other out of state cars parked there so I took the risk. I guess it wasn't a problem because my car was still there in the morning.
I didn't like that my room was on the 2nd floor, with no elevator, and had an exterior door. I prefer hotels with interior entrances to rooms. The room itself seemed a little dated and smelled a little strange. It was very faint and I'm not sure what it was. Might have been a neighbor or something else in town. But I guess my nose adjusted quickly or I was too tired to care because I went straight to bed. The bed was comfortable and clean which was the most important thing for me.
In the end, I'd probably stay here again. I just wish it wasn't so expensive but the price is probably dictated by the location more than the quality. I went back and forth between 3 stars and 4 stars on this review. I finally landed on 3 stars because that seems neutral to me. Not great, but not terrible either. I'd also like to reiterate that all the staff I interacted...

We decided to stay here again last night so we booked a 2 queen room. At check in Brian was already rude and not very welcoming. Should've been a sign to just leave.
This morning we decided to go get breakfast (which you have to walk in the cold to get to). There was 4 of us staying in our room, however my sister in law and 2 of her kids decided to come along and help with my 2 little girls. The owner saw us all in the breakfast area and immediately began demanding we pay $12.50 for each person that was there. Despite the fact that only 4 of us had plates in front of us. He then called the police and told them we were stealing. Again, only 4 people had plates of food. NONE of us even got to eat anything because he was so upset that we decided to leave and avoid the confrontation that he was trying to stur up.
My father in law came over from the hotel next door where they all stayed. Paid for the "extra" people. Then was told by the owner that we had to leave because it's private property. So $50 later, no one gets to eat breakfast and we are all told we have to leave. How's that not theft?
We will be back to Estes Park because we have family that lives near by. We will NEVER stay at this hotel again. The hotel next door, Estes Inn, is $50 less per room, for the same size, and much...
