For the price of $150 for 1 night it was just not good and not worth it. I wish I stayed someone else. Very disappointed for the price. There were cracks in the door so you can see through, not private. Very steep stairs that I wish I knew about. Not handicap assessable. If you have mobility issues this is not the place for you. Squeaky bed and old bed. We tossed and turned all night. Every time my partner tossed and turned I would bounce awake. We were up all night. No cable and No independent temperature control. I was sweaty and uncomfortable. No blackout curtains and there was light all night from the outside street lights. Everything was out of date. We were able to get into our locked room by just using your finger. Mind you there is only 3 rooms. But there are large gaps in the doors. We were the only people there but privacy would definitely be a concern if others stayed. I will say it was decorated very well but not spectacular and nothing to write home about. Breakfast was not worth it either. I was hoping for freshly made but kept hearing a microwave and tasted less than adequate. They have a great selection of teas and friendly staff but not $150 a night worth… just go for the tea and not...
Read moreIn the time of Covid, it's not easy to make plans and feel comfortable participating in groups. My friends decided to surprise me with a small birthday celebration at the Emerald Necklace for a High Tea and it was AMAZING. I'm gluten free and the selection of foods were fabulous. I enjoyed every bite (I'm truly stuffed). The tea was divine and I felt like a proper princess with the teacups and required paraphernalia to make a proper cup of tea! The room was very cheery and decorated beautifully. We were there only people there - 7 total. And it was perfect. Our server was sweet, thoughtful, and extremely efficient. We never had to ask for anything and everything was so smoothly delivered between courses. It was the best birthday surprise a girl could want! Two of the 7 were kids and both girls loved their own personal got cocoas, special sandwiches, and fancy desserts. They really do a great job. I cannot wait to go back. Highly recommend. And their tea selection is AMAZING!! We all tried something different and shared a bit with each other. They have some unique flavors and something for...
Read moreI just celebrated my 30th birthday here this afternoon. My expectations were high, and they were still blown away! Myself plus a party of 8 were very comfortably accommodated for high tea with rather short notice. I called them up a week ago and they happily booked us, and I was happy to take a later booking to accommodate another party. The food was absolutely scrumptious and homemade. I was surprised how full-up we got from just little plates of finger food, a few of us needed boxes and we are a fat family. The atmosphere is a mix of quirky and comfortable, fancy and casual. For a $25 plate, the price simply cannot be beat. It was a unique experience but I plan on coming back often, their high tea would make an excellent second or third date imo and it was the best birthday meal I have ever had. I left with some of their Champaign Rose loose tea blend for home and it is so floral, bright yet muted and subtle. Clevelanders should be talking...
